My experience was nothing short of appalling. I urge anyone considering this facility to *run the other way*. What should have been a straightforward storage solution turned into a nightmare of greed and utter lack of humanity. Due to a devastating family illness, I fell behind on payments for my unit. I communicated openly, explained my situation, and requested "just two days" to pay the balance in full. Instead of compassion, I was met with cold indifference from Theresa, the manager. She refused outright, denying even a brief grace period. Desperate, I pleaded to retrieve irreplaceable family photos—items with zero monetary value but priceless sentimental meaning. Again, the answer was a heartless *no*. The cruelty didn’t end there. When my unit went to auction, Theresa avoided eye contact or acknowledgment, as if my pain were an inconvenience. The kicker? They sold my belongings for **$300 less** than what I owed—a blatant, underhanded business tactic. Why forfeit full payment for petty vindictiveness? Worse, I witnessed multiple units auctioned for far less than owed, suggesting this is a pattern of exploitation, not an isolated incident. The facility itself is dilapidated, with units in disrepair—hardly worth the price they demand. But the true issue is the culture here: no empathy, no flexibility, just ruthless opportunism. **To anyone needing storage:** Choose a reputable, professional company with transparent policies and reviews that reflect basic decency. I regret ignoring red flags and trusting this place. Learn from my loss. **Stay far away your belongings and peace of mind aren’t safe here.** ... Read more

The worse place ever, Do not do business with this storage company, ever!!!! Crooks and Robbers!!!! This Business establishment will triple charge you non-existent, made-up, fadricated and extremely bogus charges. while keeping you locked out of your things, while also not being authorized to take payments from a card that was not consented to them to pull payments but did anyway and still charged for the months that was already paid for. Went there to remove my things now finding that there was a lock placed on the unit and the office was close at 11:15 and never open with people walking around inside with the lights off acting as if they aren't there. ... This place and its owners are absolute trash. For one thing, it is THE most inaccessible storage facility! The office is only open for a few hours during the day, so if you are trying to do anything with them, you have to take off of work! And even then, they are rarely ever open for the FULL hours annotated. The owners are COMPLETELY rude and unhelpful. The lady has the NASTIEST attitude to her PAYING customers. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED…DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!! ... Read more

Horrible place and Theresa is the worst human you could try to work with. I didn't establish the rental but Lord forbid I try to help my ailing friend. After Hurricane Florence this evolved. There was no gate for many months. Then when I tried to get in after they finally replaced the gate it was the can't do committee. By then my friend was in hospice and ultimately died. Even after I was supposed to be added as an allowed party Theresa still argued the point. She called the police on me. Did not work because I did nothing wrong. Then she wouldn't let us back up to the door. It is horrible grass with ruts and tire marks from other folks doing what we couldn't. There are huge openings in the fence where anyone could fit through. I'm disgusted as I've been in this town for 25 years. If I'm not mistaken this place is also off limits to USMC. I wonder why... maybe call Theresa and ask. I'm also posting pictures of the area we had to carry very heavy furniture vs. backing up like everyone else. Also the openings in the fence. They are simply rude folks and don't want to help. Can't wait fpr them to go out of business. Recommend Semper Fi storage not too far down the road. ... Read more

Keep trying to call to pay my bill but the phone just rings and rings and rings and rings..........I wonder if these people know that they run a business. But let me guess, if I don't pay my bill today you know how to charge someone with a late fee because of your negligence right? I can't wait until I don't have to pay this rubbish anymore. ... Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that AAA Storage - 1197 Piney Green Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by AAA Storage - 1197 Piney Green Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by AAA Storage - 1197 Piney Green Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $29 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $303 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
