A few years back I had a unit at this location. Even though I moved into a bigger space, I still find myself back here often for boxes and packing supplies. They often have sales on their inventory and it’s an underrated place to pick these items up. The lady I see most often is Debbie and she’s just lovely and knowledgeable, and she helped me out a lot during my move. Can’t recommend this location enough! ... Read more

Mostly was fine until the recent price increase of over 30%. When I called to find out how they justify that much on an increase all the woman on the phone said it was "market price change". There is absolutely nothing market based to justify that for storage units. This is a money grab only and to treat customer with such disrespect is pathetic. They know it takes a lot of work to move your belongings out of a storage unit ( large ones) and find another facility that is more customer friendly. So they trap you. The woman on the phone was not helpful at all and needs some training on customer service etiquette. I dont believe this is the person who works at the actual building but someone at the corporate level who has the authority to adjust pricing. After the initial investment there is very minimal recurring operating costs involved for them to justify such monetary values. Taxes, insurance ( which they back charge you for) and the one employee they have on site. Public Storage is a very popular company it is a shame they have the need to tarnish their reputation in such a way. I will be looking to move my belongings out to a more cost effective company. ... Unprofessional staff. Entrance door to building was broken during 3 weeks and staff do nothing. Cart for carriage staff missing 1 wheel and can’t be used and just stay in the center of track. Prices really high for that service. Staff careless and rude. Only 1 reason to stay there it’s closest to my home. ... Read more

As other customer, I have been in this facility few years... they tend to keep increasing rent very unreasonably. It is a very stupid business model, as they give cheap rates looking for new customers (without knowing if these new customers are reliable or not) and totally infuriate existing ones with those increases. Customer service/management also not very "bright"... and source of frustration probably. Update... I wanted to move out of here and I have not been able to access my unit for 3 weeks when I had the possibility as I travel. I guess Deb... the manager was not happy with my "not very bright" remark... and I have to add "not very professional either" because after being alerted for 3 weeks that the door is not working... she did not have it fixed yet... Of course they are charging me full price... for a service they are not rendering at the moment... very very unprofessional... I cannot see how they can have good remarks... ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 50 Milltown Road has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 50 Milltown Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 50 Milltown Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $22 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $429 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
