Used to be great until new owner a year and a half ago took over. I got a large unit for a good price, a month later $50 increase. Their security gate has been broken the entire time so over a year straight without being fixed it’s wide open 24/7 which is a security measure. This location is on 4th street so to not have a gate is pretty ridiculous so if someone forgets to shut one of the coded doors someone could potentially get into a unit if the really tried.. They’ve increased my rent various times and today is the final straw, when I checked another $40. I have a hard time understanding why the owner is overcharging everyone and nothing is being fixed. Stay away give your business to another company, greedy owner. ... Read more

So far, so good! Moving in with my partner and we needed to do some flooring - I needed to stage a lot of my stuff in storage while the work was being done. I started off in a bigger 10x15 unit and was able to move to a smaller 5x10 one, once I moved a lot of it into my new home. Added perk of being able to reserve a U-Haul with them which was very convenient when I bought 2 new beds recently and needed to deliver them myself. Suzanne was friendly and helpful. ... Read more

I've been at this location for about 5+ years and have never had an issue. Great security. Love the app to open the gates. Very clean. Everyone I have dealt with are so pleasant. James is awesome along with everyone else. Jessica (Mgr) responds to me immediately when I text and the day I left, she processed my refund with my bank within 1 hour. I'm only leaving because I am getting rid of all my "junk!" You want safe and secure storage, I recommend this location. ... Read more

I’ve been a customer of West Coast Storage for about 5 months now and we’re finally needing a second storage unit after moving our household. I called and spoke to Jessica to see if they had another unit at our existing rental on 4th Ave in Reno. She was so pleasant and after telling her that I was hoping for a second unit in that complex, she said that it was “meant to be” and that the unit next to us was open. I know this doesn’t happen often (getting a second unit next to yours) but she helped me update my account and what card I was using to pay monthly in seconds. This was a thorough, convenient, speedy and the most friendly transaction. I highly recommend WCS and thank you, Jessica!! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
