I spoke with someone about my move in and to address wheelchair accessibility and the person was very knowledgeable gave me all the info I’d need (I’m blind as well) to access the unit including detailed directions to locate it. despite the accessibility features of this building being marketed they’re actually not functioning. On top of this in November, I asked to try and move my payment to the first of the month. I was told I had to pay a prorate so I did. Yet, I’m still getting charged a late fee every single month for paying on the first. I’ve accepted it and just pay it because frankly, I don’t wanna deal with the headache of having to call them. Which leads me to why I don’t want to call them three months in a row I’ve gotten screamed at by a manager Confirm the card that they charged the payment too. Each time I’m told that that’s why they they’ve asked me if I have auto pay Set up when I say yes their immediate comeback as well then you don’t need to call to make your payment. This is important for later on in the story. Today Amanda decided to go ahead and discharge the card on file, not realizing that I needed to change that card on file because she just Went ahead before I could say anything and process the payment To the wrong card. When I was like wait, what did you charge it? She said that whatever card to the auto pay I said I had. When I said well, you only mentioned Auto pay to tell me that I don't need to Call because it automatically processes. She began Talking down to me, I’m being very passive aggressive at this point. I even tried to point out what she asked, had no correlation to what I needed to do. And that I didn’t get the chance to even let her know what I needed to do. I just started it again that I wanted to speak to the district manager and that I’d like to know how to get in contact with him but she refused, so I asked her if she could please have him call me, She demanded to know why and when I refuse to tell her, she said she would just let him but she didn’t take any contact info to do so. Before hanging up, I asked one last time, so are you still going to refuse to provide the last four of the card number that I’ve asked for multiple times? She screamed in an entirely different voice and pitch. I hung up and I started calling other storage senses to try and get in contact with somebody to actually request for the district manager To give me a call back. when I finally get a hold of somebody, they think the whole thing is funny. At one point, I considered bringing my nonprofit organization to storage sense to not only utilize multiple storage lockers, but to also make a community action program with them Target people who are unable to leave abusive situation without leaving all of their belongings behind. Now I’ll go anywhere but here. I have no clue how to even get out of this contract because you can’t talk to anybody who does anything but scream I’m frankly, I’m old back all of the late payments that I didn’t actually make but I’m sure I’ll never see that either. I highly doubt that the district manager is even going to give me a call and I’m pretty sure that I’m just gonna get some stupid response from the store trying to paint it as if they didn’t do anything. Absolutely disgusted. Work with them at your own risk ... Read more

I have been a long-time renter at Storage Sense in Troy NY. I have decades of experience with locally-owned and national conglomerates. Some have been in better condition than others. All are terrible with their pricing, seducing you in with web deals and jacking up rents anywhere from 5-15% or more within the first year. Storage Sense, though, has to be the worst of the bunch. No loyalty whatsoever to long-time tenants (I store artwork so I'm in it for the long haul). I just receive a 15% increase (for March 2025), higher than inflation rates for the past year, on top of a 10% increase less than 10 months ago (July, 2024). Even when they have ample units available. My size units are up to $70 less per month after the web deals (with very reduced rate for the first 2 months). I'm starting to think they are up-charging existing tenants to make up the shortfall. Disgusting business practices! Will not refer anyone else to your location or elsewhere and I'll be looking to move to a local business (or just get a shipping container as I'm sick of paying these b*st*rds and their investors). Don't get trapped in the storage racket! ... Read more

Been with them since they 1st open. Prices are reasonable at 1st but go up on the regular. I have had several issues with the new manager. Dude LITERALLY told me to go somewhere else when I mentioned the continuous price increases. Definetely gonna take him up on that soon. Last manager was great. Not one issue. Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Storage Sense - 75 Vandenburgh Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Storage Sense - 75 Vandenburgh Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Storage Sense - 75 Vandenburgh Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $24 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $159 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
