Update: it has been one month and I still have not received a refund from this company. I had a terrible experience with this company. I called before Christmas and the guy told me he would have a unit available Monday 12/26, but he wasn't sure yet if they would be open. I called on Monday and no response, so I assumed they were closed. I went around 3:30pm on Tuesday 12/27 and he told me "There is insulation damage in the unit so can you come back another day?" I said I work FT so it's hard to get there before the office closes and I would rather complete the paperwork today and I can wait a few days before moving in, no big deal. We did all paperwork, and I did not return until 12/31. When I got to my unit there was a red lock on it. I sent an email to the manager with no response. I called the office Wednesday 1/4 to state I had not received a response to my email and inform them about the lock. I also asked for a refund of the December amount, since I had not been able to access the unit. He stated he did not realize the lock was on there and did not have the tool the cut off the lock, but he would do it first thing in the morning after obtaining a lock cutter. Not to mention he was supposed to have fixed the insulatation, so how did you not realize the unit was still locked if you had fixed the insulation?? I showed up the next evening (again with a car load of items to put in storage) and the lock was still in place. I went to the office this morning around 10:30 to return my lock and ask for a refund. I was met with more excuses "It's a red lock, I can't remove red locks" "It was 5:58pm and the computer system was shut down so I couldn't access your number to call you to tell you the lock was still on there". He agreed to refund my money, which will come in the form of 2 separate checks in the mail (one for the prorated Dec amount and one for the Jan amount) and it will take 2 weeks to receive those. I went across the street to Beechmont self-storage and purchased a larger unit for $10 more per month, I had immediate access to my unit, and the office staff was extremely professional and friendly. ... I stopped in just now to rent a 10x20 storage unit. I was immediately told I couldn’t park where I parked because they were getting ready to pave everything. I said sorry - I didn’t see any sign. Then he told me they were closed. I asked if I could still rent a storage unit and he said no. I didn’t need the storage unit til next week, but wanted to go ahead and get it rented while I I was in the area. He wouldn’t even let me do that. Just said they were closed until Saturday. So sorry you can’t talk to me while you are “getting ready” to pave and are so quick to get me off your parking lot. You must not need the business if you are so quick to chase off a paying customer. Pretty angry here and I guess I’ll go to a competitor who is willing to take my money and not tell me to get off their parking lot. ... Read more

Horrible customer service!!! I have literally tried for 3 days to rent a unit here. If you call or even go there 1 hour before closing time, the guy will say "oh I won't be able to do it today, can you come in tomorrow"....ok sure....so the next day as soon as I get off work I get there at 3:11, for him (clearly aggravated) to tell me "uh I can't do it today, the best time to come would be next week, like Tuesday". I'm assuming that's a day he doesn't work. To get the run around from such a business is just ridiculous, and I can only imagine how much business they have lost/loose bc of one person who doesnt feel like doing his job close to closing time. Sad, and I will not try to rent a unit here again. ... Read more

Rent is fairly expensive for the part of town it is in. Also, beware of using the dumpster they conveniently leave out between unit blocks! There are no signs regarding its use anywhere in the vicinity of it (which there is no allowed use by tenants just fyi). However, they did spend the money to install a small security camera so that they can bill anyone who was none the wiser after the fact. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Beechmont Storage - 669 Ohio Pike has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Beechmont Storage - 669 Ohio Pike can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 400 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Beechmont Storage - 669 Ohio Pike come at a variety of prices, starting from $45 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $250 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
