Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I had my items in storage for 2 years. I was saving to buy a house. My rent for the storage unit in 2 years increased almost quarterly to the point I was paying almost $200 a month for a unit. Shouldn’t loyal customers that never miss a payment get discounts? Anyway, I finally bought a house and moved out my unit today. Almost ALL of my fabric furniture was soiled in mouse/rat pee. All of my boxes were littered with rodent droppings. I understand an outside unit will not be very secure from weather and some bugs. But, to have NO rodent control to the point that most of my items are DESTROYED. Is unbelievable. If you store here, invest in an indoor unit. Better yet, store elsewhere. ... Read more

This place has gotten to be an absolute joke, and if you don't bring things up like this, then, well, all of what I'm about to relay will continue to happen to other people. I have been here for over a decade. For a long while, it was fine. I mean, how hard is it? It's a storage unit. A few years ago I had my unit (as well as a few other people's) broken into. This was before they had the bright idea to put in cameras. No renumeration was offered despite me pointing this out. Relatively small unit, I'm rarely in town. Foolishly, I got over it. Particularly in the last year, however, this place has hit the skids. My rent has continuously been jacked up for no reason other than they can. "Yeah, this is way above market value" I've had people that work there tell me. Incredibly though this outfit has, apparently, zero control of how to mitigate that. I was just again assessed a 20% increase. The 3rd such increase in the last 8 months. This despite the "service" of the facility dropping to an almost non-existent nature. I genuinely feel bad for Rachel, who has worked there for quite some time. She was able to fend off the idiocy of her parent company for some time but apparently has been overrun by whatever draconian measures they're implementing. Getting in touch with her or, god forbid, any higher ups is an almost impossible notion. There is almost never anyone on site anymore. One of the few times I tried to go and speak with someone at the "office" there was a broken gate to the facility, a guy trying to pay a bill in person, and another one trying to get some bolt cutters, but no one at Public Storage able to do a thing about anything. Mind you, this was at like 2PM on a Wednesday. This is par for the course. So, to reiterate, if you want zero customer service, your prices jacked up for no reason on a consistent basis, and the occasional broken gate or broken into unit, this 2025 version of Harshman Road Public Stoarage is your one-stop shop! ... Robin and Martina are absolutely wonderful and were so incredibly sweet, kind, and patient with me during my first time utilizing a storage unit. The two women went out of their way into the rain to help me learn how to unlock the gate and ensure that I had the proper utilities to move/how the locks worked. Their kindness really made my day much better and I would highly recommend this service based on the interaction I had! ... Read more
