Read some helpful reviews of KO Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

We purchased the storage unit to use for our nonprofit organization to store toys during the off-season. The rental process was easy price seemed too good to be true, and then I figured out why upon showing up three days in a row after our rental to put stuff in the unit, I found the front gate wide open with random people inside the facility. The units are full of rat and mouse poop. The drive up access where our unit was located was a mud/dirt road that every time I went back there more and more people were spinning tires or digging ruts, causing it almost impossible to get in and out unless you had a truck. I called the facility three separate times upon arriving and finding the gate wide open to be told oh yes, it must be broken. Nothing we can do sorry. I also found out that there is no one local for this unit. The people that run this facility are based out of Texas nowhere near Ohio. I would highly recommend for anyone to spend the extra money and get a nice place. That’s secure where your belongings will be safe. As well if you have a unit on the back row, there is one way in and one way out if anyone else parks you are blocked in it was an absolute nightmare. I called and canceled the unit on January 12 after renting it on January 7. I cleaned out the unit on January 11 and was told that I cannot receive a refund because I waited till Monday, January 12th To call and cancel, but they are closed on Sundays ... Read more

I'm giving one star because it won't allow no stars. I rented a unit for one day because the day I was supposed to move in they had a lock on my unit and it was full of somebody else's stuff. Not to mention the three times I've been there the gate was wide open and there was nobody on site. This place is a burglars dream. ... Read more

I needed storage right away, I called KO Storage and they had exactly what I needed, available that same day. The rate was very reasonable, the unit was very clean. I could not have been happier. Thank you KO for the discount the first 60 days. ... Read more

It all started the first day I moved in. The call center is a joke. The first girl I talked to was nice but failed to mention that my actual unit was at an annex down the street between 4065 and 4155 it is not at 4395 lisa Dr., not even close. I called and notified them about unit 376 the door was halfway up while on the phone with customer service I tried to close the door but it wouldn't move. There was a bed make up inside with sheets comforter and pillows, a rack with cloths hanging on it, a rocking chair with a blanket over the back and a rug on the floor. I informed the person on the Phone that it definitely looked like someone was living there and that made me nervous. The person I talked to said they would inform the manager. A couple days later I returned and it was still like this so I called again. That person made a note and called someone. I received a call from so called manager and he informed me he was out of townand it was none of my business how someone sets up there unit and that door is broken and he was trying to find him another unit to move to.I left Oct. 28th and that unit door has never been fixed but the unit was cleared out. The gate wouldn't close so I called about that and the gate was open for several days before that even got taken care of. The brush and weeds grow 3-4ft on both sides of the fence I'm sure that doesn't help. They also let the weeds grow up in front of the units. I have pictures. I payed thru the end of November. They took my money and later sent me an email stating I had to pay for the rent increase. I should not have had to pay for increase until December. So I decided to go somewhere else and put my notice to leave at end of October. While I was clearing out my things I killed at least 100-150 stink bugs they were in clusters on my furniture and boxes. The floor of the unit was covered with mice dirt. I had boxes and bags that had holes chewed in them. I had to empty and rebox alot of my stuff. I watched a mouse run to the back of my unit and crawl between the metal wall and floor to the next unit through an opening. I highly suggest you go somewhere else if you value your things. This place obviously doesn't care about the property, type of people they rent to or treating bugs and rodents. I still have not received my refund for November. I would not trust any of the 5 star reviews they are obviously friends and family of owner. ... Read more

???Update 2024– still not happy about the 3x, 4x rent hike, but the units also leak water! I went to get my stuff and multiple things are wet and now rusted. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Started off with best pricing, then in a few months they will increase your rate despite offering the initial lower rate to new customers. If you miss a payment, they will surely double lock your unit quickly, but will take weeks to remove the lock after payment and will need to be reminded to do so with texts and calls. I missed out on getting some important things before an appointment cause of this. Cramped gravel roads as well. Overall not happy with this location. ... Read more
