Read some helpful reviews of Valley River Storage at 1210 Willagillespie Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

DO NOT rent from here! I found my items with rat feces all over it. On Saturdays there’s usually no one in the office for customer service, It’s insanely hard to deal with them to get anything done. They’ve also gone up in prices recently, which is not worth it at all! Go somewhere else! ... Read more

I rented from valley river storage penske truck rental. Lauren Morgan, the staffer there was on point ! She was able to take take time with me to discuss strategies and prices and all the infinite ways how I could make this move easy and affordable and efficient. I am a 100% disabled combat vet and she made me feel very taken care of and really went the extra mile to work my moving plan rather than my moving plan working me lol. This was the 3rd time I've rented from her and valley river and I want to express my gratitude to her services and attention and honesty . Lauren is a great representative and I recommend her 100% of the time . I look forward to any future run-ins with valley river storage penske . Your wonderful and thankyou. ... Read more

Do not rent here. I rented the space on a Friday night, packed a U-haul on Saturday and missed them by 20 minutes on Saturday before they closed. My unit was padlocked and no one was available to help me get settled in. I had to go somewhere else (luckily many other storage places were still open that day). When I went in on Monday in person to cancel the unit since we no longer needed it, they refused to refund the total amount, charging me for Saturday and Sunday (they are not open Sundays) claiming that they lost business in the transaction. I asked the person at the desk to have the owner call me so we could discuss the charges and I never heard back from anyone. Well they definitely lost business. How can you charge me for days I did not use a locked storage unit?? That I never had access too? That's just greedy and it taught me a lesson about ever renting a storage unit here. I hope the $27 that you kept was worth the bad reputation and this review. Do not rent from these greedy owners. ... Read more

We rented a garage sized unit a few years ago. Safe, secure, dry storage. The overhead light inside our unit didn't work, I think they said it wasn't hooked up anymore but we only visited during the day anyway. Recently, I rented a moving truck for an hourly rate. Very convenient for around $8.50 an hour, although you cannot pickup or drop off when they are closed for lunch. ... Read more

I moved out of town, and came to pick up my items out of storage on a Sunday, when their office is closed. I needed some extra help getting into my unit, and someone from the front office drove to work on their day off to help me after I made a desperate phone call to them. I am extremely grateful for their assistance. The people at the front desk were always helpful and reasonable. The units are clean, and easy to access. Convenient location. I definitely would recommend them for storage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Valley River Storage - 1210 Willagillespie Road has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Valley River Storage - 1210 Willagillespie Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Valley River Storage - 1210 Willagillespie Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $72 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $309 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
