Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Mike was super helpful and accommodating. He turned super stressful situation into a stress reliving situation. I accidentally rented an inside unit when I ment to rent an outside unit and was too busy to fix it right away. Mike gave me a courtesy call to check in and I explained my issue and he fixed it within minutes of me arriving to the office. ... Read more

I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, ?DO NOT STORE ANYTHING HERE!? Absolutely the worst place you could store. The manager is rarely there. If you want to make a payment you will have to go to another location. They have an infestation of rats throughout all of the indoor, "temperature controlled" units. The outdoor tenants also have to deal with the same issue. We found that they were chewing through the insulation in the ceiling and dropping in getting stuck. We had to wipe down everything we could save with bleach water and lost most of the furniture and almost all of the clothes that was stored in there. Things that were inherited from family 80+ years ago and are irreplaceable are completely ruined. But don't worry, if its not the rats and maggots in your unit, someone will come by and drill out your locks. Both units on each side were destroyed as we moved our stuff out and found parts of a drilled cylinder in our unit from the neighbors. As for the temperature control, they leave the air conditioning unit on into the fall and winter so moisture builds up in the units. We had a thermometer in our unit that keeps the max high and low temperature readings. 40 degrees to 110 seems pretty controlled. Absolutely will NOT use a public storage again. ... Read more

This place is rat infested. If you store thing here, expect to find rat pee and poop all over your things. They got in some boxes and ruined some clothing. You can't take anything out without having to fully wipe it down and disinfect it. There have even been dead rats just laying in the hall ways. It's disgusting. Then they have a scam contract. I got charged for the full month, even though I'm moving out in 3/10, and they will not refund. Complete scam. They should do a prorated refund if you aren't staying the full month. If nothing else, they should pay me back for the damage and health hazards created by this rat infested dump. ... Read more

The in-house office looks abandoned. It's been dark and cleared out my last 3 visits. Today is my first time visiting my storeage unit in 3 months. All my stuff in storage is completely destroyed. They have a huge rat problem. Everything has been chewed up and there is rat piss and crap everywhere. Again there in-house office is abandoned so there was no one to complain to directly. ... Worst storage unit place I've ever seen. It's rat/ nice infested and they do not care about their customers or their belongings. This place is not well maintained. If a light burns out on a unit they won't replace it. If your unit has a large gapping hole they won't repair it. Just go somewhere else because If you complain, they will retaliate with much higher rent prices. You can find way cleaner and cheaper places where your stuff won't get destroyed by rodents. They will hold you to their contract and word when it is advantageous for them only. It's a whole bait and switch. Don't fall for it. ... Read more

When the need be and I'm looking for storage, I always choose Public. Their online reservations are so very easy and convenient. No down payment required for a hold on a unit. When you complete your reservation online, your unit is waiting with the lock inside. Gate access is accessible through The mobile app which is nice and convenient also. No complaints here! ... This was my first time having rented a storage unit and it's been a pretty good experience. The grounds are clean both inside and outside including the garbage and recycling area. Thank you! It's appreciated. I think Mike has a lot to do with why I am happy with my choice and I wanted to thank him. Mikes got a professional friendly cadence about him that makes you feel comfortable and not in the way. He has an answer for every question and he'll even walk out and show you a unit if you would like to see it. Thanks for everything Mike!!! After having done my homework on other rentals in the area. I am happy with the price & size of the space and I feel confident that my things are safe. Thank you Stephanie Dean ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
