A little upset. I was a little late with a payment due to how my paycheck aligned with bills. Went to go pay the bill and access my unit since I was passing by and today was payday.... gate wouldn't open. Said "see manager". Went to see manager....not there. Thought, I'll pay through the online portal as I NEED something in my unit. Bill went up $25+ AND had to pay a late fee!!! Had to pay it because I needed something. The gate let me in and when I pulled got to my unit? Redlocked. Can't get in. NOW I have to make a separate trip in just to get something...which will cost me even more money. I'm done. I expect some rent increases...but at this point my little 5x10 here is more $$$ than larger units elsewhere. Going to drop by and chat to Public Storage when I make my separate trip in today. Lesson learned. ... Read more

For the amount you pay and regular increases in rent security is severely lacking compared to other places. After 2 break-ins with multiple pay increases with no improvement in security I'm out. I wouldn't store your stuff here until security is updated with each unit individually alarmed. All they can say is "it happens". They don't care. ... Read more

10' x 20' outside unit was easily accessible and close to home making it convenient. Place could use some sprucing up. Almost slipped in the driveway more than a couple times outside my unit due to mud/dirt outside the unit. With the few rent raises I had within this year alone, I felt the rent was being raised too often and by too much. Started off paying $195 in Nov 2023; was told of a $25 rent increase and a $12 mandatory insurance charge per month as well, about a month or two after moving in. Fast forward to now, 1 year later, and they say they are raising the rent again, this time by $38 for a total of $272 per month. With almost a $100 jump in a year span I couldn't justify paying that much, especially seeing as how I saw no improvements made in this year I've been renting from them. Photos show original payment agreement vs what the new agreement was set to be. ... Read more

They raise the rent about every 6-8 months. They raise it just enough you think it's not worth moving, so you get used to it, then they raise it again. I'm paying 62% more than the first month just two years ago. This increase has far outpaced inflation. The facility is clean and has reasonable access hours and office hours, and office staff are cordial. The units are NOT individually alarmed, so if someone breaks into a unit nobody knows until the office personnel walk the property and notice a broken lock. ... Read more

People at Northwest storage were pleasant to work with. But corporate runs the rent, I wasn’t even there 3 months, rent was increased $30, I was told it could happen about every 4 months. That’s wrong in by book, just randomly raise rent when so choose decide to. I wasn’t having it. I immediately moved out. Found a privately owned one, my rent is fixed for at least two years or longer. And you’re not forced to have insurance unless you want. NW storage needs contracts so people know what to expect 6,8,months 1 year something fixed. I’ll never use them again until they do. Kevin ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
