I have a love, mostly hate relationship with this facility. POOR Customer Service and inflated prices. #1 - I loved that there were no bugs or mice. #2 - I was there for 2 yrs and the entrance door remained broken. Only 1 side would open and it wouldn't open wide enough to get the cart or large items in and out. I sent them pictures of the broken door and not once did they address it. #3 - Management wouldn't address the door or elevator issues but would always call if they needed me. If I missed their call, forget about calling back because they wouldn't answer or return my messages. #4 - Management was hard to reach. I'd call and would leave messages. No one would call me back. The only time I received a callback was when I moved out and closed my account. #5 - Only 1 elevator worked and it was broken. The #2 elevator would not rise above the 1st floor at times and the #1 elevator did not work at all. I'd hold the close door button for it to rise above the 1st floor and sometimes that did not work. I called several times and did not receive a callback from management. #6 - There is no phone reception in the facility. That's dangerous because if something was to happen, you'd have to go downstairs to dial 911. And management wouldn't know because you can't find them on the property. #7 - My rent jumped from $74 to $200 in 6 months! #8 - Most people left good reviews because they aren't in their unit a lot. I was in mine once a week and noticed these issues. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Public Storage - 370 Commerce Blvd, available security amenities may include Security Camera, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 370 Commerce Blvd for specific restrictions and recommendations.
