For starters, there are mice/rodents/rats there. One of the people who rent the nearby storage units told me, but I didn’t see it for myself till I actually moved out. Any of my storage bins that weren’t covered had signs of rodents… rodent feces, and my chew marks on fabrics. In the three years of having this unit, I never got the “free first month” promotion I signed up with and the price of the unit also nearly doubled. But, what REALLY made me an unhappy customer was move out. I moved out on the second of the month. One employee told me that I would get a pro-rated rate, and this was told to me ON THE PHONE. A manager/supervisor said they could drop it down to $100 after I explained how unhappy I was about the rodents. Well, they lied to me and the payment they’re requesting is still $399. Oh, and their mandatory insurance? Only covers $250 of rodent damage! ... Read more

I spoke with the front desk employee, Jay, who explained really well all the costs and expectations, even explaining that there’s a price increase every six months. he was very cordial and helpful, so I really appreciate his help. In the one-and-a-half years that he‘s been working there he hasn’t experienced any break-ins. Looking forward to putting my stuff away for a couple of months. Thanks again, Jay! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 1130 Mineral Spring Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
