Be Warned: Bait-and-Switch Pricing Tactics I signed up for a 10x15 storage unit about 18 months ago to store furniture for our kids after school. At the time, the rate was under $100/month. Since then, the price has increased every few months—ultimately reaching just under $300/month. When I called to ask about getting the current advertised rate applied to my unit, they said it was only available at a different facility, and I’d have to move my belongings to get that price. Completely unreasonable. They told me the price is based on the “current going rate” in the market, which basically means: they'll charge whatever they think people will pay. It’s clear this is a national company, not locally owned, and they don’t care about long-term renters or loyalty—only profits. If you only need storage for a couple of months, this might work for you. But if you’re planning anything longer term: RUN. They’ll reel you in with a low intro rate and then slowly crank up the cost until you can’t justify staying. Now that I post this review...as I told them I would...they act like a simple phone call and "we can work things out" is in the cards. At this point, I would rather see this business sold back to a local person and get the national ownership out. Clearly, they will not react unless you take it to extreme measures. The "owner" is more than likely an AI bot replying to all reviews with the "best words possible". Good Bye! ... Read more

I am so happy to be gone because they went up on their fees every 6 months. I started out at $120 then it jumped to $140 then to $200 that was it for me. At my new place I pay $124 and not a promotion and climate controlled. Extra storage are buying up smaller businesses so they can up the prices constantly but adding nothing to justify rising cost. I would not recommend them to anyone. ... Read more

Front desk people were friendly if we find them on site. Billing was terrible. The first unit we were assigned were dirty. We requested to switch to a different unit and never used the first one. We were charged for both for the first month. The promotion rate ran out in two months then we were charged for the regular rate. At month 6, our rent just “doubled”. It’s ridiculous how much they are charging for the condition of the place and lack of customer service. This is definitely not a place for long term rental. Get ready to move when they u your rent. ... Read more

Worst experience. From the first day we moved in till the day we moved out. Zero communication from the manager James. Left multiple messages and emails when information was not fully provided re: gate access, someone else parked in our spot and billing error. James never returned our calls neither did the district manager. Beware. ... Read more

I've had the most amazing experience with this company. I know getting a storage and the prices and the whole process can seem daunting, because it typically is, but with this company everything was just smooth sailing. They really worked with me on the best location and the best price for me, and for that I highly recommend them. I truly, encourage you to go here for all your storage needs. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

The facility at 420 Silver Ridge Drive offers 24/7 access, allowing you to visit your unit at your convenience.
