This the best storage location I’ve been able to find in the area. The parking lots are big and the aisles have plenty of driving and parking space, the indoor facility has wide enough hallways to easily maneuver a dolly as well. The pricing is also better than competitors in the area, and the local uhaul facilities just aren’t as nice. ... Read more

Terrible service. The elevators have been down for a week and unless you are on the 1st floor this is the only way to access your unit (i bet this is a massive fire hazard as well). I am calling daily as you get no updates proactively. And now I cant even get through to anyone. Terrible service... Cant get access to my stuff which i need urgently which almost feels illegal. ... My unit was broken into. Look at the other reviews going back years, it's a rampant problem that they've done nothing to resolve. On top of that, they raised the cost of my unit by 400% in 4 years. Truly a terrible experience. My only hope is that someone reads this before committing the same mistakes I did. ... Read more

We recently had a breaking into our storage luckily, I luckily crossed paths with Emilio when we discover they broke into my storage and he was able to find out what happened. He helped transfer me to another unit and gave me all the information that I needed to take care of the police report and also how to get a hold of the insurance. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Public Storage - 12915 Research Blvd, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 12915 Research Blvd for specific restrictions and recommendations.
