I had a very bad experience with this location. I completed the online eRental with the Memorial Day discount option for move-in on Sunday 06/01, the day that I was scheduled to move out of my apartment. I received an email from Public Storage that my unit was ready, with the unit number and gate codes in the email. However, upon arriving at the location, I found my unit with a lock on the door and absolutely no way to access it. It took several tries to different numbers to reach someone, and when I did talk to them, they told me that there was a "system error" that was signing people up for units that were not available and the only option was to transfer me to a different unit, which would NOT be discounted and would require an additional lock deposit. There were clearly other empty units available, but they told me that the only thing they could do for me was transfer me to another unit where I would have to pay the full price-- clearly a scam. They labeled it as a unit transfer when I had never accessed this assigned unit and it looked like someone else already had their stuff in my assigned unit. Not to mention, I had rented a U-Haul and was moving heavy furniture and only had a few hours to make the move into this storage unit. Public Storage refused to work with me at all, even though this was a mistake that they acknowledged was THEIR fault, and instead they tried to charge me an additional $100 and raise my monthly rate that was previously agreed upon via a signed contract. After speaking with multiple people, I canceled my unit and was supposed to be refunded the amount I paid-- I was not. They charged my card anyway. After this experience I have lost all trust in Public Storage. Their mess-up and subsequent refusal to fix their mistake ended up costing me and additional $250 in moving fees. Do not use this location if you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy service. ... Read more

This location is amazing!!! And Jenny, the person that works there is even more amazing. I had hopped back into town after an 11 month hiatus to get my car back, and clean up my storage unit. And my worst nightmare came true, as my car wouldn't start. I use the remote, I try to start my car, and it wouldn't start, and top it all off I had a flat tire caused by it being trapped in their for months. I was hesitant at first, but I ended up going to Jenny and letting her know my situation in hopes that she could help somehow, by connecting me to leads for tow truck drivers or a local mechanic who could come in person to service my car. She eventually came across a gentlemen, who happened to be a mechanic by profession, who was looking for a storage unit and saw my car as he was passing by. Jenny told him my situation and he immediately came to help. He somehow managed to help me pop open my hood, jump start my battery, and he even pumped air into flat tire faster than anyone I've seen. I can't thank them enough, as they saved me a lot of time and trouble. I had also spoken to another woman named Lauren, I believe, who was kind enough to leave me a review as I was a professional math tutor, after she was blown away by my friendliness. I'm glad I finally got to it hahaha!!! This location is also safer compared to other locations, as everything in my storage was still intact. I would definitely consider this location for my storage needs again in the future!! ... Read more

we want to move out because Pricilla is very hostile. we had an interaction with her a few months ago where we were in the wrong. we apologized and have corrected our misunderstanding, we don’t do what we were doing anymore because we want to respect their rules. well Pricilla came out today making all kinds of accusation. we try to calmly explain the situation to her (it was someone else doing what we used to do) but she would not listen. She was also accusing us of things we absolutely never did. she is so unfriendly and frustrating and I avoid going to my unit just so I don't see her ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 7200 South 1st Street has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 7200 South 1st Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 7200 South 1st Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $20 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $191 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
