Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 4195 North Dowlen Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Don’t store your items here. The A/C has been out for months, and management is only now informing tenants. Because of this neglect, all of my furniture and clothing have mildewed. Their only response was to tell me to file a claim with my insurance. I did, but since the unit has mold, insurance will only cover $250 after a $100 deductible which doesn’t even begin to cover the loss. To make matters worse, no one has answered the phones in days, leaving me with no direction or support. I also have nowhere to put my belongings, so now my choice is to either keep them in the unit and continue paying every month or face a huge trash pickup fee from the storage company. This entire situation has been stressful, upsetting, and made worse by the fact that management refuses to step up and help. ... Read more

Josh was very helpful in answering all my questions and helping me choose the right unit size for my needs. The facility was clean, secure, and well-organized, and I left feeling confident that my belongings would be in good hands. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for convenient storage and top-notch service! ... Read more

Stored here for almost 2.5 years. Moved out over the weekend and all of my furniture and belongings were covered in mold and 3/4 had to be thrown away. I told this to management and they said I should have bought the $15 extra a month insurance and I would have been covered. Absolutely no way would I recommend this place to anyone. The manager was nice but that was it. The price continued to increase but the quality and care of my belongings was terrible. Also the gate was always broken and there were homeless people coming in and out of the back entrance because they left it open due to the broken front entrance. ... Read more

Exponential Rate Increases – Misleading Rental Agreement If you’re considering renting from Public Storage, be prepared for harsh and frequent rent increases that aren’t clearly disclosed in your rental agreement. In section 2.2 in the rental agreement it’s stated, “rate MAY change with 30 days notice.” However, after speaking with customer support staff and a customer support supervisor, it was disclosed that my rate WILL increase by 15–25% every 4 to 6 months on average based on “availability” and “the market”.. something I was never made aware of when signing the rental agreement. I reviewed section 2.2 within the contract and all that is stated regarding rate increases is that it MAY increase with a 30 days notice, not WILL increase every 4-6 months by 15-25%. In my case, my rent jumped 33.5% after the 4th month (from $230 to $307). At this rate, I calculated that within two years, I’d be paying over $1,000 per month for the same unit. Had this been disclosed upfront, I never would have signed. There is a huge difference between MAY and WILL. This could represent contact misrepresentation through unfair pricing tactics. Additionally, based on my research, I’m not the only customer experiencing this. If you’re looking to use Public Storage, expect to be taken advantage of. I strongly urge potential renters to research this company thoroughly before signing a contract. Public Storage’s deceptive business practices are disgraceful, taking advantage of customers once their belongings are stored. I’ll be sharing my experience across multiple platforms to ensure future customers are aware of what to expect. Don’t get taken advantage of.. Look somewhere else for storage. ... Read more

OMG! This place is filthy !!! It’s pointless to inform the staff about anything because nothing will be done about it! A customer moved out and left items although the hallways I was hoping it would’ve been cleaned by now but of course it has not! The elevators never get cleaned the least they can do with all those price increases is purchase a vacuum cleaner! If you want an expensive dirty facility this is the place for you!!! ... Read more

Been at this storage unit for over a year now and it has really gone down. The cleanliness of the facility is very bad. Clothes have been on the floor for over a week, and the grounds are just filthy. Security Doors never work, which was one of the main reasons for coming to this facility. ... Read more

WoW!!! I don't even know where to begin! This storage facility is conveniently located and easily accessible. We arrived at the facility entered the code and proceeded inside by vehicle. The atmosphere inside is inviting, super clean and very well lit. Opened our storage unit, it was clean and the lock for the unit was inside with an information pamphlet for our specific unit. Also, I would like to add that they have elevators to go to the 2nd floor. They have dollies and hand carts available if you needed to make a load to your storage. We decided to look around the storage area and were greeted by a smiling Candy and she thoughtfully took us on a full tour of the facility. We were just really impressed with this storage facility, very modern and easily accessible. The lighting is great and very well lit and felt safe inside. ***Please know the Hours of Operation are from 6 AM - 9 PM. You need to have exited the building before 9 PM or you will be locked in. Thank you Candy for our tour, for being so sweet, caring about your tenants and enjoyed our conversation?? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 4195 North Dowlen Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 4195 North Dowlen Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 20 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 4195 North Dowlen Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $25 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $207 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
