Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 6160 Delaware Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

So when I first opened an account with Public Storage, Vincent asked me to go onlin and leave a review while he was on the phone with me. I got an online special to get a 10x10 fpr $77/ Fast forward to 3 months in. I now pay $165 monthly - and that is theecond boost in payment due amount since March. My amount due went from $77 to $117 to $165 in a matter of 3 months When i call ed Vincent - the manager - I get a non-chalant attitude about how my payments will continue to rise until I ,oove out. Grant it- I just moved in 3 months ago. So if you are good with the price going up every month - definitely come here. They will bleed you dry till you move out. So I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 2stars. I will give them 2 for cleanliness. I think they do this bc there is not much competition here for storage. Good thing I am moving away. ... Property refused to post signage relating to both elevators being down, waste of my time to even try, attendant unhelpful and rude. Not to even mention the constant issues with doors and elevators being down (first time both were down at the same time), property management is never in office and when they are they are consistently rude and unprofessional. ... Exponential Rate Increases – Misleading Rental Agreement If you’re considering renting from Public Storage, be prepared for harsh and frequent rent increases that aren’t clearly disclosed in your rental agreement. In section 2.2 in the rental agreement it’s stated, “rate MAY change with 30 days notice.” However, after speaking with customer support staff and a customer support supervisor, it was disclosed that my rate WILL increase by 15–25% every 4 to 6 months on average based on “availability” and “the market”.. something I was never made aware of when signing the rental agreement. I reviewed section 2.2 within the contract and all that is stated regarding rate increases is that it MAY increase with a 30 days notice, not WILL increase every 4-6 months by 15-25%. In my case, my rent jumped 33.5% after the 4th month (from $230 to $307). At this rate, I calculated that within two years, I’d be paying over $1,000 per month for the same unit. Had this been disclosed upfront, I never would have signed. There is a huge difference between MAY and WILL. This could represent contact misrepresentation through unfair pricing tactics. Additionally, based on my research, I’m not the only customer experiencing this. If you’re looking to use Public Storage, expect to be taken advantage of. I strongly urge potential renters to research this company thoroughly before signing a contract. Public Storage’s deceptive business practices are disgraceful, taking advantage of customers once their belongings are stored. I’ll be sharing my experience across multiple platforms to ensure future customers are aware of what to expect. Don’t get taken advantage of.. Look somewhere else for storage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 6160 Delaware Street has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 6160 Delaware Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 250 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 6160 Delaware Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $53 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $240 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
