Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 106 Kenya Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I recently moved into an outdoor storage unit, and Vee was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the process. She truly embodies professionalism. Vee called ahead of my move-in date to offer a tour, and when I arrived early to view the unit, I was very pleased. She even offered to sweep the unit and add fresh rat repellent pouches before move-in. I’ve noticed she consistently keeps the property clean and secure, and she took time to reassure me about the camera surveillance while sharing helpful moving tips. My move-in experience was exceptional because of Vee. I hope to continue having a great experience during my time here. ... Read more

Rent at your own risk. We rented at the Cedar Hill site on Kenya St. 24 HR surveillance my ass!! Our unit got broken into, and now we found out that not only do thier cameras not work, they have not worked in a long time and they knew about it and have done absolutely nothing to fix the issue! How do you advertise a secure facility knowing that there is nothing secure about it in any way and you lie to the people who you rent to! ... Read more

While I was taking thing in and out of the storage unit the door leading to unit locked on me. I knocked on office door to try and get help but nobody answered. I continued to knock because there was a car parked there. I guess woke the guy James up and he threatened to shoot me if I kept knocking. When trying to obtain information on how to get door unlocked a young lady stated she was new and that the guy on the inside lived there and wasn’t affiliated with public storage. I’ve contacted the corporate office in California and they put me in touch with district manager. ... Read more

I paid storage for two years, not knowing that once I took my items out of storage the smell would be horrible due to dead rats found in unit. Also Storage unit started at a lower price and after having everything in there for six months it went up. I would not recommend that facility if it’s that easy for rats to come into the storage with your items. Thankful that I have the insurance, but it will not be enough to cover everything and the time you have to spend making the claim. ... Read more

I typically do not leave reviews, but I must commend Jacobie for his outstanding customer service. Unlike the average service I have received elsewhere, Jacobie took the time to thoroughly explain my bill and assist me with the gate. In an era where quality service is rare, I felt it necessary to share my positive experience. ... Read more

This place has gone significantly down hill since Public Storage took over. Simply Storage staff and communication were GREAT but Public Storage is lacking. Since they have taken over my husbands unit has has a leak in the roof that has been reported and not fixed, mice have started over running the units, the light bulb in the unit messed up and he was told Public Storage does not provide lights in the units so it will NOT be fixed....even though the unit CAME WITH A LIGHT, and most recently the unit was broken into and whoever broke in cut off and mangled the slider on the unit not allowing us to be able to put a lock back on to secure the unit. The issues was reported the same day of the break in and has yet to be resolved going on over 10 DAYS without a lock on my husband's storage unit that he is still expected to be paying for! A call was put in to the District manager who has yet to give a return call. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 106 Kenya Street has to offer. These amenities include 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 106 Kenya Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 250 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 106 Kenya Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $74 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $198 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
