What customers are saying

Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 8251 North Beach Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

These people do not care about their customers. I’m out of state, unable to make to the facility due to car accident. I explained it to the property manager when I spoke with her. I log on today and there’s a charge for a new lock. Like why would you cut a customers lock when you know they are out of state? It’s so frustrating to be injured and not be able to do anything about it I also inquired about a lesser rental rate. I was told it could not be decreased but I could move out of my current unit into another available unit to get a cheaper price. Basically, play musical storage units. Also they will retaliate and try to send your unit to auction sooner if you complain. It’s best to steer clear of this company if you value your property. I don’t understand why you can’t offer your customers that keep your property full the same rates as new renters. If you go to their corporate site, the reviews are not that great. I have never encountered a company such as this one. Their business model is horrible! ... Read more

?Do not store anything you value at this facility. I found out the hard way that this location has a severe, building-wide rodent infestation that management is fully aware of but fails to disclose to renters until it is too late. ?I opened my climate-controlled unit on February 1st for the first time in a while to an absolute nightmare. My home appliances, precision industrial machinery, and priceless family heirlooms were destroyed. There were chew marks and biological waste everywhere. As someone who is immuno-compromised, I had to throw out everything due to the sheer volume of filth. It is clear this is a deep-seated issue that has been ignored for a long time. ?When I confronted the supervisor, she admitted the rodents are a "known issue" on the ground floor and even suggested I move to the 2nd floor because she "hadn't seen them up there yet." If management knows the building is compromised, they should not be renting units. ?Instead of helping, the staff was hostile. I had to involve my partner and initiate a call to corporate before the situation de-escalated. During my move-out, the supervisor even manually closed the bay doors on me, forcing me to work in the dark. ?I have filed reports with City of Fort Worth Code Compliance (Case #26-00071376) and the Health Department. This company is trying to hide behind a $250 insurance cap, but no amount of fine print excuses renting out a known biohazard. Stay far away from this location and their insurance partner. ?UPDATE: Code enforcement has since opened an investigation after finding evidence of an infestation. This facility knows about the problem and has not contacted those affected. ... Read more

As a customer, I am not satisfied with the customer service. The Celeste lady from the office acted racist just for being Hispanic. She treated me poorly and angrily. As a customer, I did not like the service she gave me.?? ... Read more

The garage door to the inside units were broken a long that still not fixing. It has been opened for 2 months so far. Edited: i was happy that the garage door finnally fixed. The district manager called and addressed my concern which was a great. It shows that the company does care for its customers and addressed the issues. I updated the rating to 3 stars. I would have given them 4 stars if the local manager did not give me a heart attack with frustration last week where they had someone called me said my unit didnt have a lock when I litterally there 2 days ago. I explained to them that my key attached to the lock and if i didnt lock i couldnt take out the key but sure enough they didnt listen. I even got an email said the that i have no lock. I ran to Homedepot got a new lock and drove to the unit thought to myself that all items probably be stolen by now. By the time I got there my lock is still attached to my unit. I was upset and drove to the office and addressed my concern. The manager told me that she was about to call me and let me know that it was not my unit but she didnt call at all. The whole scene took me 1 hour since their last call. This is wasting time and they should have done it better. If this is improving near the futures I will update my rating. ... Read more

Facilities are clean and well maintained which it should be. This is why the rating is a two and not a one. The regular rent increases are not desirable. Over the last two years rent has increased 100%. Plus, getting a hold of an actual person has been problematic over the last two years. You can see someone in the office but they don’t open the door, this is during business hours. They don’t make it easy. One would think they reward customer loyalty, but the psychology is you won’t move all your stuff even if they raise the rents, so you’re at their mercy. Well I moved out. Rents been raised 3 different times. The last time was a $70 increase. 5 months after a $50 increase. My original rent was $1800 a year. I could justify the 10x15 space. Even when it went up to $2600 a year. Ouch but ok. But this last increase brought it to just under $4,000 a year. Get this, the same unit for new renters is now $856 a year. No integrity and certainly no loyalty to their long term customers. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 8251 North Beach Street has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 8251 North Beach Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 500 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 8251 North Beach Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $17 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $206 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
