Do not rent here! Theft is really high here and management does not have any quality surveillance whatsoever. They allow people to rent and live out of the storage units. They dont do their inspections everyday. The employees on-site are very sketchy and feel like they are involved with the break ins that occur. Specific units are robbed and they are involved somehow some way. Your stuff is not safe here! Run far away. I was robbed and lost everything. A whole safe full of guns and ammo. Too much to list. The employee working there looked so guilty when speaking to him. ... Read more

My grandmother's storage unit was robbed, the locks were cut and there were no cameras. A bit frustrating when the office says there's nothing they can do to help. I used to live right across the street from this place 13 years ago. The traffic of people hasn't changed. Still consider this area to be bumb vill. Definitely not a safe place to storage anything!!! ... Read more

Our company needed to rent space for one year. We agreed to a 1 year contract. Up front we Let them know we didn't want to extend past the 1 year mark. Our contact was up @ the end of Feb. I called them in January multiple times to remind them that we would be out of the unit @ the end of February but no one answered the phone. I finally was able to get ahold of someone on Feb 11th. He let me know that the people who were managing it before were no longer there. He stated I would need to give them a 30 day written notice. I was 11 days late in giving them notice so I was under obligation to pay them $150 for another month. The man @ the front office called the owner and she was not willing to work w me @ all. The units are ok but old. After you sign the contract they give you baggies of green soap to spread around to keep the rats from eating and destroying your property. Not happy @ all, we were straight up w them, they took no accountability in not answering their phone. If you read all of the owners responses on here, she can't find any of the people that are upset on here as customers but seems to find the happy ones? HMMM. Doesnt hire honest people, think twice before doing business w this place. ... Read more

My Company was in a pinch on where to store items for a customer. We literally had one day to choose a place. And even the day we needed it we we’re too slammed to sign paperwork during regular business hours. I talked on the phone with Crystal and she was so accommodating, she was willing to meet me at the facility at 8pm to sign paperwork. Crystal and her husband Patrick have been great to deal with. And their units are a very reasonable price compared to other storage facilities. I will be storing all of my future customers belongings here from now on. Thanks guys! I just left there after seven months and I feel lucky to have gotten my stuff out of there before they locked my unit. At first the guy running it was very nice, a bit disorganized but nice. Then they fired him two months ago and guess what, the new guy says I have not paid anything for months, What? I have always paid in advance. I talked to the new guys supervisor, we got into an argument and she kicked me off the property and we were not even yelling? What a B****... I produced receipts and still they said I owed them another 100.. What, they can't add or subtract? The receipts are in front of them.. I'll NEVER go back. If you go to them after what I wrote, then you do it with your eyes wide open.!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Midvale Self Storage - 7841 South Allen Street has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
