I cannot recommend this storage facility enough! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the entire property was. The staff is absolutely incredible—professional, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring every customer has an stress-free experience. They take the time to answer any questions, provide clear communication, and go above and beyond to make sure you feel confident about storing your belongings. Most importantly, I had complete peace of mind knowing that my items were safe and secure. If you’re looking for a top-notch storage facility, this is the place to go! If I weren’t moving to another state, I would have loved continuing to use their storage facility. ... Read more

Probably safe for short term storage. However Extra Space is only out to gouge its customers. I had my unit with them from before Extra Space bought it when it was Overland and my tiny unit was like 30$ a month. Once extra space came in they raised it significantly to like 88$ a month. They had a larger unit for sale for 132$ month so i made the choice to swap to the larger unit. In the past year they increased it to 180$ a month and now its increasing AGAIN to a whopping 260$ a month. They have not improved the location, added security, or done ANYTHING to justify the price increase. This money is going straight to their profits. They sell my same unit online for 160$ a month and if you try to price match they say they cant and id have to physically move all of my stuff to the new exact same unit and sign a new lease and close my old one. Corporate greed at its finest. I understand things are more expensive now than ever but doubling the price with no improvements is craaazy. ... Read more

I’ve had multiple poor experiences with Extra Space Storage in Woods Cross, and I feel compelled to share them. Locked in After Hours Incident A while ago, I sold a flat-screen TV at my unit around 9:40 PM. I know the gate closes at 10 PM, but by the time we finished testing the TV and wrapping up the sale, it was 10:04 PM. When I entered my code to leave, the gate wouldn’t open. I called customer service, and their response was shocking—they told me we’d have to walk home. While I live nearby, the couple buying the TV was from Brigham City, which is much farther. Fortunately, I called the police department, and the officer was able to use an old code from before the property became Extra Space Storage to get the gate open. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unsafe, especially for paying tenants. Trash Access Issues Another ongoing issue is with throwing away trash. Tenants are expected to call the office to have the trash unlocked, but the process is incredibly inconvenient. On multiple occasions, I’ve had to wait over an hour just to get access to throw away simple items, like a small kitchen trash can. Today, I tried contacting the office to unlock the trash, only to get redirected to the Farmington location because the Woods Cross manager was on lunch break. Later, I received a text saying tenants are no longer allowed to use the trash cans at all, which is completely unreasonable given the monthly rent I pay. I’ve rented from Extra Space Storage in Centerville in the past and never experienced these issues. The management at the Woods Cross location seems disorganized and indifferent to tenant needs. I expected much better for the premium prices they charge. ... Read more

Access is so easy in/out of the units. Everything is well maintained and updated. I had a restored car in them and never had anything to worry about. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
