I would never recommend them at all they are infested with Rats ??. They don't even call you as a courtesy to say they are having an infestation issue. I pray no one gets the hantavirus. My stuff is all ruined literally. Trust me I'll be reaching out to the health department and all news outlets. Do not ever store your items there. ... Read more

Good security, BUT no emotion/compassion. After being there over 5 years I was late one month and they instantly start calling and emailing like you stole their birthday. They are rude, stick noses into your business, and think they are so much better than everyone else... On a personal level. Its a storage unit. Stay out of 9rivate lives and you are not life counselors. ... Read more

It was exactly what I needed it to be during a very difficult time in my life. Less than a year ago my ex wife and I set the wheels in motion for our divorce. It's hard to be emotionally prepared when the person you loved and trusted has, without your knowledge, spent months preparing a new life separate from yours. While I was working overtime to help us support our growing family, she had signed up for new credit cards, found a new job, and found herself a new man. I came home after a late night of work; the house was dark; my three kids were gone. Why was the house empty? I kept trying to remember if my wife had said they were going anywhere. I tried to remember if it was this weekend that they were going to visit her sister up in Logan. A couple hours before I left from work I texted her that I loved her. Now I was getting worried. I moved to the kitchen where there were unwashed plates and pans from a few days back. I knew she wasn't happy being a stay at home mom; I wanted her to be happy. There would be dinners were I could see the depression in her eyes and I am ashamed to say that I was crippled in fear every time I wanted to ask her what I could do. She hadn't answered my repeated calls or texts. I knew something was off. Even more off this time. I moved to the bedroom and saw them, the divorce papers, carelessly thrown on our queen sized bed. I had a panic attack. This one was far worse than those that came after my return from Afghanistan. Time vanished, I vanished. I woke up under supervision of a psychiatric facility. I later found out it had been 2 days that I laid there in bed crippled and spasming. When it came time to move in with my parents I needed a safe place for my possessions. A friend recommended South Davis Self Storage. I can't tell you how nice it was during the hell and chaos of that year to have such a professional facility and staff there to make things as smooth as possible for me in securing and protecting my possessions. It only took a half a year until I was in my own place and back on my feet again, but those 6 months were so crucial at that time in my life. Thomas, who was always a phone call away, was especially helpful. I will always send my friends their way. Keep up the great work guys! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that South Davis Self Storage - 1403 South 600 West has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
