This location is listed as a Penske Rental Facility. This isn't a Penske location so much as a self storage place. No fuel island. No rental desk. Just the owner who wouldn't give me his name, just a rude attitude. I had called hours prior and was forwarded to West Knoxville and told that the agents were at lunch. I the asked if they knew if they had a fuel island and was told yes. I drove out of my way to this location because of that information and upon arrival, found no fuel island. I called again because the lot was vacant and a gentleman picked up and I said I was in the parking lot trying to find the fuel island and was told they didn't have one... I then told him I had called earlier and was assured he had one according to the Knoxville locations information. He started to argue with me and say that he's been there all day, they never have their calls forwarded and that he's never had a fuel island. Was completely rude and unhelpful and unaccepting of the fact that I had the phone call recorded that told me there was a fuel island there, and at that point he became irate and even more argumentative. This was the supposed Owner of this storage place as well. Well you should OWN your mistakes instead of trying to pass them on to your customers. Formal complaint has been submitted to the area's Regional Manager, Robert. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Kings Klosets - 25267 Lee Hwy has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera and Gate. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
