These people are the absolute worst ?? they’ll be all kind to you on the phone when you sign up, but when you call with a concern, they’re rude and hang up on you. They love to ask you to leave a 5 star review at sign up, but customer service goes down hill after that. The gate was also broken for literally months. Bugs all in the units. Just disgusting. Also, they randomly raise your rent with a “30” day notice. It’s crazy. ... Read more

I was out shopping around for a storage unit for my Apartment, my Apartment belongings, and was so happy and pleased to have met such a wonderful great, both person and employee. You have named Chassidy . He is more than helpful. Going over many price, options, and size of unit options gave me a wonderful tour of the village drive. Location, and I look forward to doing business with you in the near future as I take my next steps in my move to Virginia Beach. Thank you Chassidy for such a warm welcome. A homeless person moved into my camper while stored at this facility. The homeless person was likely there for multiple days before the cleaning staff made us aware. Lots of damage was incurred as well as many things stolen. Public Storage management explained they have no responsibility for damages, and they offered only to cancel our last month of billing after we obviously chose to remove our vehicle from their insecure facility. As someone who recently stored his vehicle/camper at this facility you need to be aware of many things I was not. 1. There are video cameras on the property, but they only point at the front gate. 2. There are not regular security patrols on the property by a security guard or security team. 3. This facility is what they call a "kiosk" location, which means there are no office staff on premises on a regular basis. A little over a month before the homeless person kicked their way into my camper, made themselves at home, and stole everything of value, our license plates were stolen from the same vehicle on this same property. This means each incident involved a police report, time off from work, lots of money, and hassle on my part to resolve the situation(s). I explained to Michelle, the district manager, that I would be leaving an honest review of my terrible experiance with Public Storage, and I asked if she would be at least willing to refund the last 2 months of our storage fees. If so, I explained, I would add to the review that they worked with me to make up for some of the losses we incurred. She refused. Further she said I was trying to ask for a bribe, which she called a crime. To be clear, I asked for a refund for the two months in which my vehicle was repeatedly robbed in their "secure" facility. I believe this is me asking for a refund on services they did not render, as they did not provide a secure facility. You are welcome to judge that situation however you like, but you should know if you store your belongings here you are risking having my same experiance. When your belongings are stolen from this insecure facility be aware they have no empathy and they will not reimburse you for any loss. Further, as the victim of a crime, or in my case crimes, perpetrated on their premises, if you dare to ask for a refund on your storage fees you may well be called a criminal yourself. ... Read more

.I had this unit for about 6 months. Great storage unit at a pretty good price The help from Ellen at this property. was the best you will ever get. She made you feel very comfortable and helped in any way possible. When i first got there i was not sure what type of unit i needed and Ellen talked to me and directed me in the perfect unit at a great price. she also helped me with moving advice and things i may need. I once lost my keys to my lock and when i called Ellen assisted me in getting into my unit and getting a new lock with no worries at all. when moving out of the unit Ellen was there again to help the checkout process go just as smooth as it could and even assisting me with some small trash that needed to be disposed of. All around a wonderful experience. It's very nice to see someone who cares and enjoys there job as much as Ellen does. Thanks Ellen! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 612 Village Drive has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 612 Village Drive can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 612 Village Drive come at a variety of prices, starting from $117 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $310 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
