I just started renting with Jack Rabbit. At first, I had a horrible experience because they rented me a 12x30 storage unit on an incline. I was going to park my trailer and antique car there, but because of the steep incline, I couldn’t get my trailer to swing up it without bottoming out. I called the help desk, and they refunded my money. But originally, I found one that was open, but they wouldn’t let me switch it; I had to pay for it first. I had no choice but to leave my car, so I rented a 10x20 and took my trailer to a trusted coworker's house on Ft Eustis until my house is completed. Oh, and all this happened in a matter of hours. I drove up from South Georgia because I was reassigned to VA. I only had one day to come up with a solution. I am going to continue renting a place here until my home is built. The place is convenient, quiet, and in a good area in Williamsburg. I would rather rent here than Public Storage in Newport. They flat-out lied to me about the size of their storage space. ... Attempted to give this place my business but their verification process totally fails. And they said that they have no way to do this in person. They are so worried about who is renting their units, however, they do not care enough to have anyone on site. I spoke with two different representatives that were clueless as to the technical issues. So I have zero confidence in this place safeguarding my property. Many other places available in which to give my business. ... Read more

At first I thought this was a good storage place, but as of right now I'm definitely having second thoughts about it. I'm a current customer, and right now there is a flea Infestation around my area and the hallway. I called several times to get this matter resolved and I'm getting the run around from the manager Cheyenne, it needs to sprayed before I go back in that place fleas are Disgusting and nasty and very hard to get rid of. I'm not a happy customer at all. It's like Cheyenne is avoiding my calls because she doesn't want to fix this problem she wants me to go back in the building which is climax control and take pictures of this Critters are you kidding me I am scared out of my mind. I thought customers were always right. ... Read more

I had a very positive experience working with jack rabbit. The two managers who live on the property were very friendly, they were always very accommodating - even with the smallest requests..I could not be happier with the service. Prices were very competitive to others in the area but it was the warm customer service that really won me over. I recommend them to those seeing self storage in the area. Keisha J. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
