If you’re looking for extra storage in Vancouver, WA, I highly recommend this facility! It was incredibly easy to set everything up online, which made the whole process quick and stress-free. Access is just as simple — the app lets you open the gate remotely for easy, no-contact entry. Loading and unloading couldn’t be more convenient. Such a smooth, hassle-free experience! Thank you ... I would give them a zero star they don’t have trash cans to throw away anything. They don’t have access to any water and they overcharge you and raise your rent every six months. I also had to call several times to make sure they close my account before I was charged for another month which they had not. Even though I went in the office to close it. ... Read more

If you’re gonna rent here, be prepared for your rent to raise every three months. Doesn’t matter how many times they tell you they won’t raise your rent as soon as that three month mark hits your rent doubles. They lock you in at these cheap prices just to get you in the door and once you’re there that’s when they raise prices . I’ve never had my stuff stolen or had issues; the first three months are perfectly fine. It’s just after that we have to cancel every time because we can’t afford double what we were originally paying. ... Read more

When I paid for my storage unit in cash, the manager insisted on checking every single bill for counterfeits, even the $5s and $1s. I understand verifying large bills, but this felt excessive and honestly a bit disrespectful. I didn’t feel trusted as a customer, and the experience left a bad taste. The new trainee kept reassuring me how smooth the process is, but the manager was definitely trying to flex something. Never have I heard, seen or experienced paying with cash and checking 5 and 1 dollar bills. Their first pen wasn't even working correctly but they gave me dollar bills back anyways. Just seemed really over the top. Happy with the unit, really weirded out by the manager and how it was handled. ... Read more

*edit* they claim below that they raise their rent based on the market but the place LITERALLY in the SMAE PARKING LOT next to them is WAY CHEAPER!!!!! lies…. Raised my rent every two months till I finally couldn’t afford it anymore. Just wild to me that they do that to people. I’ve never had a bad experience with them in Texas. Always willing to work with you to keep you and not raise your rates. I went from $60-$200 in 6 months. Terrible management and customer service ... Read more

Visited Extra Space today on 139th in Salmon Creek to see about renting a storage unit. Manager, Jay, was prompt to greet me, listened to my questions and understood my needs. I really needed to visibly see some units and he promptly escorted me to various units. I was very impressed with Jay’s professionalism and attentiveness. Our lease agreement was signed by the end of the day and we couldn’t feel more confident that our belongings will not only be safe and secure, but that Jay and his team will be there for us should we have any questions or issues. The facility is newer and VERY clean. I even observed tenants waving at him through the window as they left. This speaks to me that it’s personal to him and that he does really care about customer service. Obviously, it shows!!! Thank you Jay! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
