(Update #2): My money was silently refunded 5 days later, so back up to 2 stars like I said. By the way, I saw you edit your comment (before my update). You first said that you take customer feedback seriously. You should definitely do that, especially after my update to my review. (Update #1): All is not well. The second time that I got gas after picking my car up, I realized that my gas tank door/latch was damaged. It won’t open/close now. That takes away a security layer. There are marks from prying it open. I noticed that my windshield is dented and more cracked now as well. Good thing I got insurance through them too. When I pulled up to my car, there was a van with belongings spread out in front of a unit that had its door mostly closed. After being there for a few minutes and starting my car that had been sitting, a couple and child emerged. The kid starting running around, playing, and the couple started to clean up the mess. That’s great and all, but the vehicles were right next to them. I’ve had kids damage my cars before. Either or both of the adults could’ve been the ones tampering with my car. For all I know, it could’ve been John. You should have at least 1 security camera watching the vehicles you store for people…. I moved out on Saturday (2 days prior), but I was charged for rent when John said he’d move me out on Monday. This is how I found out that I was on autopay with my debit card. I was trying to set it up on the site, but I couldn’t find any way to set up an account to set up it up, so I was paying with credit cards early manually every month by calling. The missing funds from my bank caused a transfer to another card the night before (for bills) to fail. So I had to cover it another way. Now I have to pause all I’ve been working on, to work for money sooner than planned. This review went from 4 stars to 1, since this has been a time-consuming headache of an inconvenience and disappointment to top it off. 2 stars when I get my money back for the services not provided, since I moved out 2 days prior to the charge. I’ve talked to 3 agents so far and still no word from John or any sign of my money being returned. I went here because it was the cheapest I found, but then the price went up after 2 months. I wish I had gone somewhere else. Thanks, but I can’t recommend this place and I’ll never be back. (Original post): All went well with storing my car outside for about 6 months at Northwest Self Storage off of NE 78th St. in Vancouver, Washington. I thought there would be a camera or cameras pointed where the cars park though, which there wasn’t. Good thing I had a locking gas cap, since John told me as I was picking my car up that gas had been taken from another vehicle. Rent was raised after two months, but he let me know about it. He was very nice and helpful beginning to end. Thanks!! ... Read more

The company knows they are being robbed using the same methods CONTINUALLY. This company NEVER changes codes. Thieves can rob any hallway area and THE COMPANY DOES NOTHING TO ADDRESS IT. We pay insurance with a 50/50 chance of having to use it. THREE separate cities were robbed on the same night the 1st weekend of November and the company doesn’t care. Apparently according to the Vancouver police the COMPANY isn’t helping the situation. Your stuff is not safe in the hallway units here!!!! Do not under any circumstance rent from this company! And the insurance they provide that I pay for is a nightmare. It will be months before I see a resolution for everything the thieves took from the Unit if they decide I meet all the requirements. Many locks were cut on any locker with a weak lock. They cut the hasp off of my locker because my lock was bigger than the locks that they provide so mine was not cut, but they literally pride the hasp that the company had on the door and cut it through. LET ME SAY IT TWICE THE DOOR HASP THEY PROVIDE WAS CUT WITH BOLT CUTTERS. THEIR DOORS ARE NOT THEIF RESISTANT. The one I was moved to is worse. This is all about the company and its choices. The doors are ridiculous the codes need changing and the concrete walls are literally decomposing into sand. If I wasn’t poor and couldn’t afford a more expensive better place my stuff wouldn’t be here but safe to say anything of value has absolutely been removed by the thieves. ????The manager Hannah is amazing. The one light is this terrible situation. ... Read more
