Read some helpful reviews of Baer Storage Center, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I had an excellent experience with Baer when I picked up my U-Haul trailer ??. The whole process was quick ??, easy ??, and stress-free. I worked with the owner. He was friendly, and made sure everything was ready to go when I arrived. They walked me through the hookup ??, double-checked everything for safety ?, and answered all my questions without rushing me. It’s clear they take pride in their customer service ??, and it really made a difference during what could’ve been a hectic moving day ??. I’d definitely recommend Baer to anyone needing a U-Haul rental ??. Thanks again, Baer! ?? ... Read more

Same issue as Mike. Sitting on an empty storage unit for a month because "the contract clearly states"... Wonder if Baer would have rented out the units had I removed my locks from them, thus double dipping on my rent fees as well as some other poor schmucks... ... Read more

Wish I could give them zero stars. I've had a unit rented for over a year at this place. I finally get to a point where I can empty the locker to find out you need to give a 30 day notice, like its an apartment. Ridiculous. Now I have to pay for another month for an entirely empty locker. Avoid this place, lots of other storage options around the area, no need to deal with policies that take advantage of people. I explained my situation and they didn't care, he could only repeat, it's in the contract. Once again just avoid this place. It's not worth the grief. ... Read more

Rented storage from them for a little over 3 years. When it came time to cancel my storage, I told them I'd have my belongings out by the end of the month. On the 31st of the month I received a phone call from them before their business hours were even open, threatening to take legal action, and my credit would be affected, since I hadn't cleaned out my unit. (There was only a kitchen table and chairs left in the unit, I had already planned on going to get them that day and drop off the keys.) I had no issues with them previously, but that phone call rubbed me the wrong way, and i will never rent there again. It would have been one thing if the phone call was a reminder and not a threat. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
