Wow. I haven’t moved in 16 years, and I certainly have never rented or driven a u-haul before. Usually these things can be stressful, but because this was such a monumental moment in my life, I wanted to treat it like an opportunity to grow, and I wanted it to be fun and memorable. I picked up the u-haul and I believe it was the owner who checked me in, but she was absolutely fantastic. She was joyous, charismatic, kind and so friendly. We hit it off right away. I also discovered that she rescues animals which was perfect for me being one who works in a veterinary emergency hospital and has rescued animals myself. Not only does she provide a service that supports people moving on to the next adventure in their lives, she’s an ally to those in the animals community trying to make a difference for those who cannot stand up for themselves. I am beyond happy to have had her as part of my personal journey and will remember her forever.
