My husband and I are in a major transition phase between two homes (one in Staten Island, one in Hazlet) and decided that we need a storage unit..which my husband has never had, and my only experience was my mother having(and eventually losing) hers before she passed. I work at Home Depot next door to Devon Self Storage in Hazlet, both which are 3 blocks from where I am staying in Hazlet--so we decided to go there, considering the location would be perfect and close to both my job and home. When I got off work at 3:30pm on 5/21/26, we went straight over, and were greeted by Jay and Joe...and can I say, they not only made the experience smooth, but put us at ease, and explained the process easily from top to bottom, from the closest entrance for us to our unit, to setting up autopay and a breakdown of what we are paying for...and took us hands on through everything from where to go, how to gain access to the building with our code, and how to open and close and secure the unit. Ironically, we went to the same highschool back in Staten Island. It felt like we were working with friends, which made the nerve wracking first time process for us seamless, and put our nerves and concerns about putting our belongings (especially our large collection of Funko Pops that is inventory for an online business) in their hands. 10/10--we are excited to start moving our stuff in, and am so thankful we had people like them get us set up!!

Ray at the Toms River facility helped me out with transferring from one unit to another. He is a very helpful, professional & polite representative of the company. The facility is very clean and well run.

I would give Ceiran 10 stars if I could. She helped me with my Public Storage unit during a very stressful transition, and she went so far above and beyond basic customer service. She was kind, patient, knowledgeable, practical, and genuinely supportive. Ceiran took the time to explain everything clearly, helped me understand my options, and offered resources that made a difficult situation feel much more manageable. Her compassion and professionalism meant more than she probably realizes. She absolutely earned every one of these five stars. Public Storage is lucky to have her.
