UPDATE & changing review: Public Storage finally received my calls, messages/email and was able to bring a resolve with overcharges and ensured I received refunds! He was very helpful in finding the source for refund. If you’re booking public storage online with the 3 or 4 month special, make sure what PS is actually charging you is accurate. The system I think is set to charge numbers you weren’t aware of & the manager on site usually can’t do much about it. This location has a kiosk to talk to someone over the video when a physical person is not on site. This PS location is an older place and our particular storage happened to be in front of another’s storage that smells like Asian fish sauce spilled over. Overall the physical people have been helpful but the PS online systems can have issues. I like that PS has easy access and overall safe. Prior: Director of Public Storage Dallas, PLEASE RESPOND & I’ll change my review. Please have the director reach back out to refund the $442.80 and $72.26 charges. The moment I booked a storage on the 3rd floor & paid 4 months in advance, public storage charged $440 which was 3xs over the pricing for the 4 months. Then the elevators broke and my items upstairs were stuck there. Then the front office kiosk person over video helped transfer me to a downstairs unit same day while my stuff was still stuck upstairs. Due to the transfer, the person on video promised & literally swore to me I’d be refunded $79 for transferring bc it’s not our fault the elevators broke and our stuff was stuck up there, but NO refund. I’ve tried contacting the director at least 5xs. While the property manager Angel has been trying to help and contact the director, there’s been no response. PLEASE ASSIST!
