Read some helpful reviews of Arctic Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Im a life long Alaskan. I was reasured Arctic Storage is safest in Anchorage..after using A 1 storage. I turned too Arctics new Royal Roller Rink. Ive been there since Oct 2024. When they just opened..I have a bmw very clean 2002 325 xi. I had just purchased from gateway classics. very nice and had placed a new car cover securely latched with rope under as well closed in the doors. No way could it come off.i just recieved a notice that 2 individuals climbed over fence and were breaking into cars. That I need to come and see if any damage. Well ive been out of the state ever since..I have 1 of the main 40ft in front of office with camera paved spaces....with a brand new Stealth Cargo hauler. And the BMW Today June 3rd I called and the atendent said ive worked here for 1 year ive never seen a car cover on your car. And its tersbly dirty..it is a very nice and was detailed prior to leaving it. Now I have to afford to fly to Alaska. And putt a claim. And remove from facility as obviously is not secure. Yet its Arctic secured storage. The owner spoke of how bad theft is in Anchorage and how people are renting small units just to steal from others inside. Be for warned. ... Read more

The women at the counter were polite, professional and friendly. The whole process was quick because of their knowledge of the process. Can't beat the prices for the size of the spaces. I got one that was not heated. ... Read more

Not super cheap nor super fancy, but such is the market for covered storage in Anchorage. Have used these guys a couple of times, and been universally pleased with their customer service... Every staff member has acted like they want to be helpful, which might seem like a low bar, but is enough to stand out from the crowd to me. And they'll refund a partial months rent if you vacate mid-month, which seems like the sort of common courtesy which ought be universal, but again, in my experience has not been. ... Read more

Easy to get a storage unit, set up automatic payments, get a different unit, and to check out from the unit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a unit here for about 1.5 years and everything went smoothly. ... Read more

Would’ve loved to have given a good rating but unfortunately our experience wasn’t very pleasant. Started out with a storage unit that had mold in it (my fiancé could smell it right as we opened the door. We emailed the company about the issue and they moved us without a problem, until I walked in the hallway to get my air mattress out of our unit for my younger sister who was visiting& found a manager’s lock on it. When I called the office the guy basically accused us of moving without their permission but then I told him that they had moved us themselves and we wouldn’t have done that so he took the managers lock off. We moved into a new apartment and went to the storage unit to get some of our stuff, that’s when we found that a bunch of our stuff was soaked and there must’ve been water coming in from outside while the snow was melting. I emailed them about it and ended up moving all of our stuff out within the next few days because they really didn’t seem to care enough to even ask if our stuff was damaged or not and by the end of it just seemed eager for us to move anyway. I just hope in the future others have a better experience. ... Read more

I have been here 8 months now and this business is very good. They found a great unit for my needs. I did a sq. foot comparison and their prices were among the lowest in town. Their security is great as the owners seem to run a business there and are always present. They have the best discount for paying ahead 1 year AND they gave me a senior discount which starts at 55! I thought it was a little far from my midtown business, but the access to Dowling off of C street or Minnesota is very quick. The only down side is the 9 pm closing [7 days a week] which was no problem in the winter, but now that it is summer seems a little restrictive. I highly recommend this place. ... Read more

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
