My billing cycle has ALWAYS started on the 7th of each month. Storage star took over and changed it without authorization. I have signed nothing allowing them to change my schedule. Try calling them and you get an ai phone service with no way to talk to a real person. Storage star needs to fix my billing or REFUND me for a full week last month. ... Read more

Dawn Mcdonald made it easy for me to know how it all works out here. She did an excellent job of helping me figure out the type of storage unit for my situation. I came here looking for help to store my belongings from my home that was just broken into. Dawn worked within my budget, including the specials they are currently having. She also gave me a military discount and an amazing storage unit. Being a veteran also counts towards the military discount here. Other storage companies in town made it difficult for me to figure things out. Thank you, Dawn and Midtown storage for making my life easier in a very difficult time. ... Read more

Donna at the front desk is the most helpful customer service agent I've ever dealt with. She went out of her way multiple times to give us the best experience possible. Whatever she is making, she deserves a raise. I would definitely use this storage unit again in between my next moves. 10/10 ... Read more

Lack of basic maintenance during the winter has made it impossible for us to access our belongings in this storage unit. Huge ice formations in the base and sides of the door make it impossible to get in even with the use of ice, shovels, and other tools. There has been multiple occasions when I have tried to get to my belongingsand it has been impossible. Do not use this storage company. Cannot explain why would it be closed on Saturday or Sunday like that’s when I would like to get my stuff since I work until late hours in week days. ... Read more

Friendly staff. Prices a bit on the high side for storage units. They also offer a veterans discount on all size storage units. I'm a Vet and only shop where vets are recognized with discounts or specials ... Read more

finally was able to speak with a manager who could actually help. This yet may be resolved, so I will amend the review. [Previous review: Midtown Storage uses unscrupulous billing practices. Not one months billing has been the same as any other. We were billed as little as 76.50 and as high as 204.50. A letter to vacate was given, the unit vacated and still the billing continues. Buyer beware with this company.] I have been told that the last months billing will be credited back to my account. This is what I wanted. Thank you. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
