The customer service here is amazing. When I arrived Melany explained to me the services offered because I was a veteran (which turned out to be useful since I was going on deployment) and then helped me find my storage unit when I couldn't find it. She hit the highest marks. ... Read more

I like the convenience of having the storage on the first floor. This is the second time we rented this storage facility. The first time was in 2004. I must say it is clean and safe. The only reason I rated it not 5 stars because of their hours and days they are open. They close early on weekdays at 7:30PM and 6:30PM on Saturdays and Sundays. However, the office is open on Sundays that is a plus and they have water for free if you need it. I dealt with Sarah and her manager, Vanessa is the one who signed us up. On my last day, Monica and Alex helped me close my account. I recommend this storage facility because they are safe and clean . My only suggestion is that they don't close on Holidays and should have longer hours on the weekdays. The other storage family I am using is never closed on holidays and open until 10pm , 7 days a week. I don't mind the office close but at least let us access our storage space on weekends longer. Also, the entrance to the facility is short distance so when you enter some tenants beat you to the gate without putting in their code. Maybe they should think of an app tenants can use in going into the gate to avoid other tenants from backpacking. I mentioned this to the staff and they told me they will look into it. I trust they would. ... Read more

I recently used Smart Stop Self Storage for a short-term storage solution, and while there are some positives, I have to share my experience with their pricing and customer service, which left much to be desired. First, let’s talk about the good. The facility is fairly clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus when storing your belongings. The location can get busy and hectic at times, but that's expected with a popular storage option. The male employees were friendly and helpful, which made my visits a bit easier. However, my positive experience was overshadowed by the significant issues with their pricing structure. When I initially rented my unit, I was quoted a rate of $119, which I thought was a great deal. I felt secure in my choice, assuming I would have that rate for a reasonable amount of time, similar to what you’d expect when renting an apartment. To my surprise, just five months later, my rate jumped to $219! It was incredibly frustrating to realize that the fine print indicated they could change rates at any time. I wish I had paid more attention to that detail, but I genuinely thought there would be some stability for at least a year. This kind of abrupt rate increase is not conducive to long-term storage, and I would strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when considering Smart Stop for anything beyond a temporary solution. Additionally, I encountered a female staff member who had a noticeably poor attitude. Her demeanor was off-putting, and it felt as though she lacked the necessary customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients. In contrast, the male employees I interacted with were much more pleasant and accommodating. In summary, if you need a convenient short-term storage option, Smart Stop Self Storage may work for you, but be prepared for potential price hikes and don’t expect consistent customer service. I’d recommend exploring other options if you’re considering long-term storage or if customer service is a priority for you. ... Read more

I reserved this storage based on all the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. The location is great and it’s a very clean area. Customer service is also excellent, Denise was very helpful, she showed us options to meet our needs and was very polite through out the whole process. They also provide a free truck with a driver if you need help to pack up your things, which is a bonus! I feel confident that my belongings will be safe and secure. I’m happy that I did business with them. I highly recommend this place. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Smart Self Storage - 816 Miller Drive has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Smart Self Storage - 816 Miller Drive can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 250 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Smart Self Storage - 816 Miller Drive come at a variety of prices, starting from $109 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $537 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
