Rented storage on the 2nd floor for close to 5 years. Place is clean and safe, the site manager is sweet, BUT... There were rat droppings on my containers. Their elevator is almost always out a few days every month. This is the most annoying part of this facility. Do not rent any lockers on the 2nd floor because of this issue. Moving heavy items down the staircase will be a challenge. Today is our last day with this rental, and we hired movers; instead of an easy quick transition, the movers were physically challenged. These poor guys were using the stairs!! We were paying them by the hour and it looks like the amount of time to bring them down will triple our cost!! We should be reimbursed for this cost and inconvenience. It's such a disappointing experience. ... Read more

Utilize this storage facility for 3 years, The size of the storage was convenient for us otherwise advise for corporate: we were not told prices will change every 6 months so stop raising prices, stop with inflation excuse, provide a restroom (stop saying cement was pour down) and make sure elevator working properly & update elevator permit for clients with second floor storage. Stop being cheap !!!! ... Read more

When looking for a storage unit, the following items are ones of importance to me (in no particular order). After being at this location for 2 years, these are my observations. 1. Unit Size There are a lot of options on unit sizes (a few sizes that other storage facilities do not offer). 2. Cost The cost to get in was more than affordable. It was a deal (outside of the first month deal I was offered - the standard monthly rate was absolutely comparable to others in town.) Over my 2 years at the facility, rent was raised 5 times, "the economy" being cited as the reasoning. By the time I left, my rent was significantly higher than when I signed my contract. 3. Location Prime location in town - easily accessible from the downtown areas as well as the Springtown side. 4. Contract Terms Very long contract for this facility and the wording is very vague. READ YOUR CONTRACT and make sure you understand it. *Standard for any contract you sign. 5. Ease of Access There is a pin pad at the entry gate - 9/10 you'll be getting out of your car to ensure that you can reach the pad and not hit the guard rails. The gates are frequently out of order, as is the pin pad that controls them. There is no app to allow you access into the facility from your car. There is another pin pad at the door of the facility once you get through the gates to provide you entry to the units themselves. This pin pad has issues as well. There are NO drive up units. The only entry to the facility is at the other end of an upward-sloped ramp / a stack of about 8 stairs. The door to the facility is abnormally heavy. The door stops are not quality, so the doors frequently close on you while you are attempting to get your items through the doors. Carts are provided for guests - a total of 4 or 5 carts, ranging in different sizes. There is a freight elevator in the facility for second-story units. This elevator is frequently out of order - Without it, you can not get anything into, or out of, the upstairs units. *Ensure both the gates AND the elevator are in working order on any day you are moving items in or out. (There are 2 flights of stairs to walk up with your things, if not.) 6. Customer Service I've had no issues with the customer service rep - she is very kind and does her best to assist when needed. 7. Temperature Control There are no temperature controlled units. 8. Quality of Facility The inside of the facility is pretty rough - repairs that need to be done are ignored, or bandaged with packing tape. Pest boxes can be found in most corners of the facility. I've had no issues with pests or bugs in my unit - not even spiders. The bathrooms and water fountains are not in working order (and have not been for the entire 2 years of my stay.) Overall, this facility served my needs in a bind, but I was eager to move my belongings to a new facility with better rates, access to my unit and a higher-quality facility. I personally felt with all the increases in pricing, we would see some of those increases go towards fixing the damages in the facility, providing a more secure freight elevator or better access amenities. ... Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Sherpa Storage Mines Road - 250 North Mines Road has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Sherpa Storage Mines Road - 250 North Mines Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 160 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Sherpa Storage Mines Road - 250 North Mines Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $61 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $219 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
