Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Everything disappeared. No response. No accountability. I rented a unit at Public Storage located at 1712 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, and paid my rent faithfully every single month. After approximately a year and a half, I returned to retrieve my belongings and discovered my unit was completely empty. Everything I had stored there was gone, with no apparent sign of forced entry visible to me, a matter that remains under active police investigation. What makes this even more troubling: according to their own staff, Public Storage conducts daily walks and checks of the facility hallways and has security cameras throughout. I have no way of knowing how long my unit had already been empty while I continued paying (a question that remains unanswered due to their complete non-response). A Public Storage employee was present that day, personally witnessed the empty unit, took photographs, and told me they would notify the manager. I filed a police report the same day. Since then, Public Storage has been completely unresponsive. I sent a formal written preservation demand requesting access logs, security camera footage, and incident reports. I have received no meaningful response, and it has now been almost 10 days since I first reported this loss directly to their staff on May 17, 2026. My losses far exceed the $5,000 insurance cap that is built into the rental agreement (a cap that conveniently limits your ability to recover anything significant, no matter what happens to your property under their watch). The fact that there was no apparent sign of forced entry visible to me, and that access to this facility is controlled and restricted, raises serious questions that I believe deserve answers. I am now pursuing all available legal remedies. I am sharing this publicly because other people deserve to know what can happen at this facility. If you are considering storing anything of value here, please think twice. If you have experienced something similar at this or any Public Storage facility, I urge you to file a report with the California Attorney General’s office at oag.ca.gov and the Better Business Bureau at bbb.org. ... Horrible service, they make you give up your photo ID to get a hand cart. They are only open until 5pm, the unit is had had holes in the wall where people could reach into my unit and grab stuff out from the unit next to me, the staff here are rude and extremely lazy, they charge way way too much. Go store it is was nicer and convenient and way cheaper but way nicer. DO NOT RENT AT PUBLIC STORAGE Huge upset the bathrooms are always locked here too and no water fountain. ... Read more

Found unit broken into today:(. They didn’t even cut the lock. It appears like they just forced the door and the pin passed it locking point. This was an indoor unit on the second floor passed locked entry gates… Also if your a new renter to public storage and are getting a lower intro rate expect an increase to your monthly rate of at least 40-80$ within the first 3-4 months. ... Reposting because I mistakenly shared for the WRONG location. This review is meant for Jonathan, the property manager at the Glendale location in Echo Park! Jonathan was/is an absolute SUPERSTAR. His warm, friendly and empathetic personality made me feel confident in maintaining my relationship with Public Storage! Very pleased with my services thus far and it’s really all to do with the really great staff on hand working here that keeps me from going any where else. Thank you again so much Jonathan, you made my day! ... Read more
