We’ve been in this Storage Facility for almost a decade now. Evelyn has been in this Facility as well since we transferred from other Storage locations. Her positive attitude, easy to approach and helping us in every ways possible are commendable. Thanks. Cost wise, she also assisted us on that. ... Read more

I stopped by this PS location this morning to check out the facility. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Evelyn. She was warm and friendly and I felt comfortable talking to her about what I needed. She showed me a couple of units and I selected the one that I wanted. She explained the difference between an inside and outside unit. She was gracious, informative and I was happy that I had stopped by. The reason for not giving this PS location 5 stars is because they are difficult to reach as the phone numbers on the websites for the various locations don’t always correspond to the number you’re dialing! I can’t reach Ms. Evelyn at the number from the site location. So frustrating! I have to drive back to that office to finish signing up. Fortunately I am not far. It’s nice to know that there is someone onsite to monitor the site activity even after hours. ... Read more

Evelyn, the staff at the storage site was very pleasant and professional, which was great. I have encountered in the past really sketchy on site staff for public storage, and this experience was pleasantly different. She made me feel comfortable and assured that I have made the right decision In my choice. ... Read more

I am a new renter and had a general start up question. I had to leave a message, but the property manager, Evelyn, called me back within the hour and answered all of my questions - very courteous and resourceful. I also want to thank Public Storage in general for a smooth transaction as well! ... Read more

3/28 UPDATE: Since posting this review five days ago, Orange Door (Public Storage's mandatory insurance provider for this location) denied my claim, meaning I've lost several irreplaceable items and am out thousands of dollars worth of clothing items and shoes. Calling this retaliation feels disappointing but fair. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I rented a space for most of last year and unfortunately had a few thousand dollars worth of precious and irreplaceable clothing items go missing. I've been working with Sedgwick, Public Storage's insurance provider, for almost six months and have seen zero progress. My storage unit was also filthy and had a large, unsecured opening at the top when I checked in, but the desk person on the day I checked in told me it was all they had (only option was to go elsewhere without a refund), forced me to purchase their insurance (even though I had my own), and also maybe tried to flirt with me (they might have also just been super depressed and lonely and maybe just needed a friend). Public Storage insurance requires you to contact the property manager, file a police report, and work with Sedgwick to file an insurance claim for anything that's damaged or goes missing. The listed phone number for this property goes to the generic Public Storage phone tree and will not route you to the property. I also have a shared unit with a friend at a location that has an excellent property manager, and not even she can get through to this San Leandro location even though she is also a Public Storage manager and is also based in the Bay Area. I didn't have any food items in my space, but I also noticed a visibly large trail of ants using my San Leandro unit as a thoroughfare to access other units while I was moving my final items out. My experience with this particular Public Storage has been so bad that I've been considering never renting from any of their locations again. I have a new unit in Washington state that's reminding me that all of Public Storage isn't evil (Sedgwick definitely is) but that locations like this one in San Leandro really need to step up their customer service and security. I'm going to keep fighting to either get my clothes back or to get this claim processed so that I can buy some new ones, but I'm really not optimistic at this point. I see this Public Storage location responding to Google reviews, so maybe this will help? I'd love to be able to close this out after half a year of stress. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 2011 Marina Blvd has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 2011 Marina Blvd can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 250 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 2011 Marina Blvd come at a variety of prices, starting from $73 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $411 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
