Great storage option for overflow in my living space. Friendly staff, many storage unit sizes to accommodate my needs. Fair pricing and a sense of security for my stored items. Conveniently located near Lowes and Walmart in case you need additional storage bins to organize the unit. ... Read more

I've a storage unit for longer than I'd like to admit but if you'd like to have a place that is clean, safe and at a fair price, it's definitely here. There's always someone at the office except during lunch hours. I think the staff is very nice, friendly and very helpful. I recommend them to everyone I know. ... Read more

Old reviews may be somewhat accurate for 2018 and before HOWEVER Storgard is under new Management (March 2021) and will do everything in their power to keep items secure and safe and provide great customer service. Recently installed a $40K security camera system and also now have an onsite security patrol service monitoring the coming and goings. We do not allow homeless to occupy units. No place is 100% secure but Storgard has taken steps to alleviate those issues that occurred prior to 2020 that you may read about in these reviews. ... Read more

Had our storage space for three years. Ita an OK place, but their outdoor storage units fill with dust pretty badly. The door to my storage unit is old and rusty. It came undone. Its just an aging facility. Finance wise - they work with you. Nice person working the front. ... Read more

Run Away. My father lost his house back in 2011/2012, moved everything he had left in this storage unit. He had a unit locked behind the (apparently useless) gates, 10x20. Price was fair, and that's it. Now, as of this year, we have had TWO break-ins, with priceless family heirlooms now gone! Can you even begin to imagine how my father feels? Losing the last few things he had memories attached to? He worked his whole life, and now has zero to show for it. Did this company offer compensation for losses? No. They have a camera but it is useless and wasn't even reviewed regularly. This company claims they are not liable. Right. I spoke to someone there months later and told them it would be some time before we could move things out and go through the mess that was left. Boxes dumped over everywhere, honestly couldn't even enter the unit. My father is dying, lives in Washington with my brothers, and I am the one left to clean out this unit. The person working there, hearing our case, offered to allow us to rent for free until we moved things out. And once moved out, to let her know when she could put their lock back on. I cried happy tears at this awesome offering, and thought it was so sweet of her; plus knowing we will never see those family heirlooms again she said it was "only fair". Today, 9/21/17, I get a wonderful call. The person I had made that arrangement with, has quit, and is not honoring our conversation above when reporting to the "new management". They told us to move out by the end of this month, that's 8 days notice! Only by having my husband argue with them over the phone about how ridiculous this whole situation is, did we get a MONTH to get moved out. Great company. I truly hope someone shows you some real, true kindness when you are faced with multiple life events, then you will know how a situation like this should have been handled. For the record, every time we visit this storage unit, the gate is left unlocked. Every single time. REAL SECURE! Take your belongings somewhere more secure with people that are accountable. ... Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Storgard Self Storage - 1200 North Benson Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
