I have been with Bear Valley Apatite Storage since 2012. I have moved units about 3 times within BVAS and have always been very happy with their customer service, their payments reminders ( THANK GOODNESS ) and never once have I heard in the entire time that I have been there, I have never heard of any security issues happening. Staff are very caring, compassionate and helpful. I can't bring myself to leave unless I Finally HAVE to leave. I will never use another storage facility up here in the HD. I am ONLY comfortable with BVAS and have recommended & brought in family over the years to use this company with their needs. ... Read more

Originally, I gave this storage 5 stars. Great people, great storage. However that turned out NOT to be the case. After the first leak that they assured us they took care of, we had a rain storm. My husband and I just happened to go to our storage as it was raining to find 4 leaks in the roof, a ruined bookshelf, and some misc boxes destroyed from the water. My husband got an employee down to our storage immediately and the employee assured us the manager would handle it when he got back to work at the end of the week. He gave us some plastic “tarps” and said that was all he could do. A WHOLE WEEK of my husband calling goes by and that manager was conveniently NEVER available. Finally we get ahold of him and say we will just move out of the storage by march 1. (Currently February) They did not address the leaks and fix them, still haven’t.. last week we went to organize and take boxes out. To find that our mattress are soaked as well. And because we don’t have renters insurance the storage is not going to do anything. Not even FIX THE ROOF. This place neglected to fix a roof and maintain the unit, refuse to replace the damages (my priority being the bed and furniture). And now the manager is lying to cover his own tracks. When we got the unit he assured us it is weather proof, no rain will get in. Yet here we are with destroyed belongings. And he is claiming “he never said that”. IF YOU WANT AN HONEST, NONE WET storage, avoid this place. You will end up with half of what you originally had & a headache. I wish these reviews would allow photos, I would post the leaks and damaged boxes/furniture. (Ps: roof still isn’t fixed in the unit) ... Read more

I had to get a storage unit in a hurry. The great reviews brought me to their door and Daniel's incredible kindness and customer service sealed the deal. He was so helpful showing me around and answered all of my questions. I got a great deal and they provided me with a courtesy moving truck! They drop it off, you load it and give them a call when you're done so they can pick it up for you, then you unload it into your unit. I was so relieved I didn't have to rent a uhaul or borrow a friend's pick up. Daniel made a potentially stressful situation a breeze! You have a customer for life and I will definitely be referring friends and family! :) ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Bear Valley Apatite Self Storage - 12217 Apatite Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
