Read some helpful reviews of Hi Tech Self Storage at 16885 Sunset Drive, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I've had a storage unit at Hi-Tech Self Storage for the last couple of years. When I come to this storage facility, I know that they really care about how clean, secure and maintained the facility is. I have been to several other storage facilities throughout the years and I believe that Hi Tech Self Storage is one of the most secure, clean and well cared for storage facility that I have seen. The staff are always courteous and professional. The management really takes pride on keeping this facility well maintained and safe. The security at this facility is fantastic and one of the main reasons I chose to use them. ... Read more

In continuance of my husbands review of your facility, I never threatened anyone. You are making false accusations about me. I have called the office three times to inform about the rat issues and she apologized to me regarding the issue, and stated "if you don't have insurance we can not do anything about that" I have been with Hi-Tech storage for over 3 years not 2 years and paid $230.00 on time every month. I only had boxes that were taped, furniture and some clothes, and NO food items. The problem with the rats did not start until 3 months before I was moving out, and the woman at the front desk I spoke with numerous times was aware of the situation. I asked her nicely if I can speak with the owner and she said she does not have the owners number, but she would have her call me, which I never received a phone call from the owner. Respectfully I asked her if she could come to see the problem in the unit but she never showed up I have video and pictures of all the rat droppings in the boxes where the rats chewed through and also the rat droppings on the ground. I would never have threatened anyone. I lost a lot of personal and sentimental items that were ruined by the rats and their feces. You also made an accusations that we did not clean out the storage and I threatened to not clean it, everything was removed only thing left was the rat droppings and the dirt that the rats collected in the corner to lay in. I still didn't receive a call from the owner after leaving my number, which showed me that they didn't want to help resolve my concerns /situation with me or my husband. Always get insurance with your storage units to avoid issues like this. And do not ever contact me again. Thank you, and have a good rest of your day. ... Read more

I had a wonderful time using this storage unit. I am fresh out of college and needed somewhere to store a lot of my belongings. The staff was super friendly and helped talk me through the process as it was my first time renting a storage unit. I was pleasantly surprised with how up to date the facilities were and how it felt really safe. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a storage unit! ... Read more

Dishonest, unethical and very unprofessional! Tried to raise the monthly fee after being quoted price by sparefoot.com, their manager, online, on the phone, in person and even after printing out the monthly fee on the computer! Then, when we agreed on the terms and I went to pay the 1st month's rent and administration fee, the manager and owner tried to force me to pay three months rent upfront! (This is a month to month facility.) When I explained that I wasn't prepared to come up with $420.00 + fees and that that was NOT our agreement....the owner refused to rent to me!!! Additionally, I had hired movers to move me onto that facility in just 48 hours! They knew exactly what they were doing before I even arrived to pay cash for the 1st month's rent and administration fee!!! First, they tried to squeeze me on a higher price and then on a surprise three months rent in advance.....because "the last tenant left before one month and it cost me money on advertising with sparefoot.com." DO NOT USE THIS RIDICULOUS STORAGE FACILITY!! (Currently looking into legal remedies for this inconvenience and the false statements!" ... Read more

Owner is rude!! Treats her employees horribly. See below for example. Sure. I know the clerk on duty. I also need storage due to just moving back to the area and my home not being built yet. When I was in the office the owner called demanding to speak to me personally on the phone because apparently she isn't confident in her employees ability. He was 100% confident. He had already sold me outside the office and I came in to view the units. Upon return the phone call happened, and she seemed insistent to take my money. I will NOT give my money to someone who does business like that, watching and listening from another location micromanaging her employees and demanding money before a decision was even made. She even contacted her employee to contact me to remove this review without contacting me via Google directly. I renter elsewhere, storing 2 vehicles and the contents of my home in a facility that appreciates both their customers and their employees, and I suggest you do as well. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Hi Tech Self Storage - 16885 Sunset Drive has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Hi Tech Self Storage - 16885 Sunset Drive can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Hi Tech Self Storage - 16885 Sunset Drive come at a variety of prices, starting from $100 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $290 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
