UPDATE: This facility, in addition to not being secure, now sent me to a collection agency for 1 month's rent when I did not move in because of their security deficiencies. I am reaching out to their CEO and will probably have to take them to court. DONT RENT HERE... read my opinion in the review below. THESE PEOPLE TREAT YOU LIKE LOW LIFE TRASH: In my opinion, do not rent here. It isn't secure BASED UPON MY ACTUAL EXPERIENCE: - They rented me a unit with a slide lock that could be removed as there were no nuts holding it onto the door. Both were removed indicating a setup for theft - I put my first load into the empty unit next to the one they issued me. I was told it was rented 2 1/2 later and I couldn't use it. - I promptly cleared my stuff out and went to All Aboard - I called the office and told them I vacated and expected a refund as they did not provide a secure locker. - When I cleared out my locker, the broken one had a new seal on it BUT STILL NO NUTS! - The manager told me they have had numerous incidents there as well as no real camera system - PUBLIC STORAGE WILL NOT ISSUE A REFUND AND IS TRYING TO BILL A 2ND MONTH. - I ALSO WITNESSED 2 YOUNG MEN HANGING INSIDE THE GATE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO OPEN IT SO THEY COULD LEAVE From Google AI: Yes, the Public Storage location at 354 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL has had multiple reported incidents involving break-ins, security failures, and pest infestations. Customer reviews and facility complaints highlight several specific issues at this location: Security Incidents & Break-Ins, Unit Burglary: A customer reported that their indoor, second-floor unit was broken into. The facility allegedly took a day and a half to notify the customer. Following the incident, the customer's remaining belongings were swept into a pile alongside dog feces, and management denied responsibility for the damages. Broken Security Gate: Crowdsourced reviews on Yelp indicate that the main security gate has been left wide open and broken for days at a time, leaving the property fully exposed. Faulty Access Doors: The push-button sliding doors providing entry into the main facility buildings frequently malfunction, occasionally locking customers out of accessing their units. Facility Maintenance Issues Cockroach Infestations: Customers renting in the climate-controlled building have documented severe cockroach infestations that ruined personal property, including baby furniture and storage boxes. Climate Control Failures: Multiple complaints note that the climate-controlled areas run hot and humid, causing physical damage like curling photos. Water Leaks: Incidents of active water leaks inside the facility buildings have been reported during heavy rainfall. Sanitation: The grounds have faced criticism for overflowing trash, unmanaged waste, and discarded electronics left outside. ... Read more

This place is a very bad joke ( warning whoever rent form this company I rent unit over 2 years form them sold my personal belongings to someone without telling me and took over $674.00 for me and my family after the sold our stuff) not only have big rats problems and also have people living in their storage unit when I ask them about it there where rude people. I am giving this place the chance to make this right. I will delete this review if they do. We scheduled a move out date. The next afternoon. My wife who was 8 months pregnant wound up in the hospital. I was unable to remove the old lock from the unit (THE LOCK THEY PROVIDED AND MADE US USE) Now two months later they are charging us. Even though we moved out ON TIME. Tell your friends tell your family. STAY AWAY from public storage. Ps. I tried to call the help line. The local rep was RUDE. The corporate office is a call line to a different country. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY. Go down the street. Much better storage option AND lower prices. ... Read more

I just got a call saying I can’t be there after 9, even though anyone can just walk in. I can’t even bring my kids up because there’s a broken mirror right in front of my unit. They told me if I come after 9 again, they’ll terminate my lease—which is ironic, considering I’ve seen homeless people wandering around and the door is always open. People spend the night in the parking lot and inside. People also stand right in front of the door and smoke. And to add to the chaos, the lights are out and everyone basically has to take the stairs to get to their units. I don’t understand the purpose of paying for climate control if there is none. Really wish I had just gone with Extra Space. Save yourself from going here. And believe those reviews. ... Read more

I experienced a lot in Daytona/ormand beach. I had no choice but to fly back home, my storage unit key was stolen and then dropped off by somebody who wasn’t even me (nobody notified me of this) I will sue if my daughters baby book and my medical documents are sold on that website rest assure I can’t even be sure my things are still IN that storage unit as you people don’t even have cameras on the second floor. I will pay when I am able to confirm my stuff ALL of my things are still in my locker. ... Read more

I have rented a storage unit at this facility for a little over a year and it has been horrible since day one. The facility is completely trashed all around the property, including inside. There are drug addicts and homeless people and I’m not just assuming they are, I have witnessed with pictures of them living inside their units. I am on the second floor and one of the elevators does not even work half the time so you have to walk to the other side. The girl that works on the property there is absolutely rude as can be and doesn’t even do her job. It is just a very unsafe place and definitely not worth the price for the units. Canceling mine and getting one at a different facility. ... Read more

I recommend a different facility. It's clean and safe BUT they only have 1 cart for the entire facility and there were 4 people trying to move in and out today. When several people were talking about it, the girl cleaning said they offer the carts as a courtesy. I told her if there's only 1 cart, that's not really helpful to the people that had to wait a couple of hours. She said we should have brought our own...because we all have large moving cart ?? Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
