Do not rent here. I rented a 5x10 unit in May 2025 for $86 per month. After signing, I later saw similar units advertised at much lower rates. That was my first red flag. The bigger issue came when we moved out. Our belongings were covered in rodent droppings. As a result, we had to throw most of our items away due to contamination concerns. No one expects to pay monthly storage fees only to have their property destroyed. When closing out the unit, the onsite attendant, Amanda, told us there would be a $75 cleanup fee and offered to donate the remaining items to a shelter. Shortly after, I received a voicemail stating that after speaking with her district manager, the fee would actually be $150 — double what had already been discussed. Changing the agreed-upon fee after the fact is unacceptable. Between the condition of the unit and the inconsistent fee handling, this experience was extremely disappointing and felt misleading from start to finish. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this location to read all fine print carefully and document the condition of their unit thoroughly before storing anything. ... Read more

We have been with him since they open their business at that location. Our price for our unit has been up triple the price. We asked if we could be brought down to market value She said that she had to transfer me to someone else to speak with them about further information on everything Before she transferred me she said that she was going to drop our price for our unit from the price We are currently paying$$$$ back $to marked value . Which would be great. And then she said we would have to be transferred. Got transferred and was hung up on in mid-conversation. So I felt really disrespected and you cannot get a hold of anybody. Rarely. It takes the luck of the draw to get a hold of somebody. You go to the office. There's never nobody there. You can't cancel your unit. And they take your money out early out of your account when you have it set up that way. Overall I used to be extremely happy but now it is turned into Nothing but a rip off. Anyways, that's my opinion on the whole situation with this place. Not to mention they did some type of work on the units and my whole unit was in the middle of the floor because all of the boxes fell from whenever they were doing when they closed in the top of the unit. So yeah I wasn't happy about that either and I'm not one to ever really complain on anybody but it's very upsetting that I'm paying more than people that are just getting units and I've been there for 5 years. Anyway, hope this helps. Peace, love and happiness! ... Read more

Do yourself a favor don't rent here. If you like having your items gone through a dude woman to have to deal with in the office oh, that's if she's even there during working hours. And the great deal online they give you us good for 2 weeks then every 2 months it goes up crazy amounts. My unit went from 46 a month now a year later 158 a month. Cute right? Don't do it, other public storage places are not as bad. This one is the worst. No customer service what so ever. If you feel like fighting with the person who works here then your on the right place.. you say nice day, she will argue with that even. Just say no.. ... Read more

Awesome service, quick response and Amanda was super sweet and accommodating. I was on my lunch break and she made everything seamless for me to get in and out. She’s super funny as well. Public Storage should be happy to have her, she has a genuine personality and her customer service skills are great. ?? ... Read more

Giving Amanda a 5 star. She is always extremely helpful and goes out of her way for us. We wanted to transfer into a climate controlled unit and we had found a deal for it online. She is going as far as calling up the chain to make sure we are not only getting the online deal, but also to avoid paying for both units as it's the beginning of the month. Most places/people would have you pay the whole month for a day or 2 over, TY Amanda for going above and beyond! ... Read more

The facility is kept clean and is a no hassle type of environment. So much to the point that they increase their rent fees by $135 a month without so much as a text message or phone call to inform you of such! When I started out there in 2021 my unit was $125 plus rental fees per month it’s gone up often since and I was just charged $500.20! I called to schedule my move out date since I can no longer afford the storage unit. I spoke with Shelia who is an angel! She’s so sweet and understanding! She worked with me and deferred the $135 rent increase and now I at least have time to get my stuff out of there before I go broke from being charged that extraordinarily expensive increase in rent. Which by the way, in the same email they sent me to tell me my payment of $500.20 was taken out, they were advertising the exact same size unit for $139.00 per month. Anyways, Shelia is absolutely amazing and I want to thank her so very much for her help and thoughtfulness! She’s the best! I just wouldn’t recommend long term rental unless you don’t mind paying ridiculous price increases. ... Read more

The facility is clean and convenient plus the personal customer service that I got from the manager. Sheila was fantastic. However they raised my rent by $40 after only a few months for no apparent reason so I called and then they reduced it back to its regular amount for the next three months. They were accommodating but I don’t feel they should’ve raised it in the first place within the first few months. It seems a little shady, but I guess that’s business this days. ... Read more

Where do I start? PS sent me an email asking me to leave a review so here goes..I was at this location for less than 30 days. The girl there when I moved in was very nice. I was there on 1/31/25 moving some stuff around and the lady on duty was so incredibly rude not only to me but another customer near my unit. I decided it was so very unprofessional I went online, got a new unit nearby and spent the next few hours moving all my stuff out as well as the other customer. This lady working there was so rude, she took the dolly carts away from us and locked them away so they could not be used. Can you believe that??? Paying customers...I was not late or anything and this lady had some kinda power trip that she thought she could slow down or stop the move out. My rent was going to be due on the 1st so now she was going to be 2 less units by morning...all because she thinks it's ok to be rude to customers. When I got there, they already had a rat poison PA k in my unit, that was encouraging on move-in. ?????. Regardless, the lady working the shift on 1/31/25 should not be employed there since she has no people or customer service skills. I'd say go elsewhere, Extra Space storage is not only newer, clearer and bigger for the money but they have super nice ppl there to help you. Stay away from this Public Storage while that lady is employed. ... Read more

I moved in during them renovating which was definitely needed and looks like a professionally maintained facility now. During this process I seen what others noted as homeless people being evicted. Kayla the manager addressed our concerns at the time and everything she said was being done seems to be taking care of. Kayla was professional and kind during my interactions with her. I’ve never had an issue not being able to reach staff when I wanted to. Thank you. ... Read more

You do not want to rent space here. I have had a storage unit at this location for 18 years. Public Storage recently bought it. I went to get my Christmas tree and decorations and found they do not have carts. I am a 72 year old widow and cannot carry my items. The office staff told me they do not have carts as they have been stolen and they are not replacing them. Obviously they do not have security if they are having this level of theft, and clearly they are not in the business of providing storage service. There is no point in my renting here where I cannot access my items and the carts have been contractual, but not now. In addition, Public Storage required a new signed lease agreement. This agreement requires that you accept their insurance at an additional charge each month. I have always provided proof that I have insurance on my own policy. There is no place on their lease form to not accept their coverage and charge. I was told I have to go into their website and decline. Again, no customer service and certainly not honest dealings. No security or fair business practices here. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 610 South Yonge Street has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 610 South Yonge Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 240 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 610 South Yonge Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $26 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $283 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
