Read some helpful reviews of Storage Star at 3735 North Fruitland Lane, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

My partner and I came here to rent a storage unit. Jason was super friendly and took us on a tour. He also explained the storage lease clearly. The storage units and surrounding area are clean and easy to access. All the documents were processed through e-signature on your phone, which made it quick and efficient. There's also a phone app for the gate code. Thank you, Jason, for making this process so easy. ... Read more

They are the worst to deal with. They have a policy that they charge you to take off automatic payments. They charge astronomical late fees. They have low rates, but if you have been dealing with them for years., Almost a decade. We've been loyal customers. Beware beware of them. ... Read more

This place is a joke. They have raised their prices three times without telling me before hand. This time it was $23 dollars and I didn’t find out until they sent the invoice AFTER they had taken my money. At least last month it was an hour prior. It has gone up an incredible amount in the last year. They say you can call them but they don’t answer when you call them. But they are on top of you when you owe them money. I tried contacting them to let them know the wiring on the side of my unit was making a horrible buzzing sound and they clearly didn’t care. I can’t wait to get out of this terrible unit. Keylock was amazing. Store local is a joke. ... Read more

Still 0 stars, I'd give negative if that was an option. I've been replied to. I have gotten 1 voice-mail from a Logan, stating I haven't contacted anyone, when I have. And now because they're unreachable I am getting charged another month's rent for an empty unit. I'm not driving an hour to HOPE for the first time in 2 years someone will be on site. You have my email and my phone number. If this goes to collections I will be sueing. I never leave bad reviews but this has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had having a storage unit. I won't be removing any of my reviews until this is fixed. 11/7- I apologize for the review on the wrong company, it has been removed. I've been 'graced' with having the NOVEMBER charge for the unit I gave notice and was moved out of in OCTOBER. They 'cant control' it for that month because I left after the 5th so there's 0 prorated. And because of lack of communication/training, it's coming out of my pocket for that month even though I took all correct steps as a renter to move out. I still have a key to get unit because when I left there was no one on site to leave it with. When I gave my intent to move out, no one said ANYTHING about the key. But you know, more money for their pockets. Absolutely don't regret my review, bled me for every dime they could and turned around telling me removing the bill for the month I NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED was them 'helping me out', very thankful to be done giving my money. I still stand by my statement that this has been by far my worst experience renting a storage unit. 0 STARS Update: (this is long as I was with them for a long time as a customer-this is my first actual negative review and I apologize if I sound upset, but I am so bear with me) I finally was able to get something else for my things.. rented one of their largest units at this location for 2 years, constantly getting increases, they wouldn't help me set it up so that the bill came out automatically after my payday and would constantly charge me because their system couldn't pull money that wasn't there yet, was told they 'got more units' so that's why the increases in pricing ALL the time, but NO new units or improvements were made to my location. Even with totes, the snow got into my unit, lots of dirt, which I knew could happen, but why keep charging me more and not make it worth anything for me? Then I let them know a month ahead I'm leaving the unit and I get told I will get prorated whatever is left of them month when I'm out. Cool! NOT... absolutely NO ONE answered or called me back until I found an EMAIL address finally and I got a call back over 24 hours later to be told it was to late in the month and I would get nothing back... If you are a struggling single parent, this is NOT helpful to you, find somewhere else to store you and your children's things. Previous review only after having been a customer for a short while...(never fot any response to it either btw) I currently rent a unit...online bill pay and over the phone is a JOKE. Called literally 14 times yesterday with no success on anyone taking my payment. I've screenshot everything and recorded the website refusing to let me log in or reset my password.. if I lose my belongings, I will take it to court. Seemed like a blessing when I was stuck, but now I'm just frustrated and not feeling like a satisfied customer right now ... Read more

(In a Ryan Reynolds voice while inserting the f-bomb where you see fit) It's the worst place ever to store your things, zero stars. My lady friend's belongings were held here. When we removed her belongings, the belongings were covered in rodent feces. We have had to disinfect all of her things and throw away several other items in her unit. When she would go to the website and log in, the website would tell her that there was "no unit to link to." The management/employees never answer the phone, if you do happen to leave a message, no one will get back to you. If you somehow get in contact with the management/Logan, he will deny that you left a message by playing dumb to the situation and saying, "There were never any messages." I noticed another review that was left, saying that prices have gone up 90% over the years. While it has not been a 90% increase, it's still absurdly high. When said lady friend initiated business with this storage facility, the unit price was advertised at $175 a month. After all of the hidden fees associated with the contract and the constant increases due to, as they put it, "adding new units," (mind you, this storage facility is surrounded by Fred Meyers and suburban homes with no plausible building land within its grasp.) It becomes well over the advertised price of $175 a month. By the end of her experience with this company, her monthly bill was roughly $280. As that is not a 90% increase, it is a 64% increase from the averted price of $175. Right now, when writing this review, the lowest price for the same size unit (non-climate controlled) in the area was $65, and the highest cost for a storage unit the same size (non-climate controlled) was $75. So they are $100 more than the high average cost of a storage unit the same size (non-climate controlled.) With my combined college skills of deductive reasoning, google, and math stuff, this is a 133% increase from the average price of $75. If you look at it from the prospective of the low at $65, this is an increase of 169%. Now, remember that was all based on the advertised price of $175. Do you remember how much I said my lady friend was paying for her unit? $280 a month, that is a 273% increase from the average high cost of a storage unit the same size (non-climate controlled.) Ultimately, it would probably be to your benefit to rent from a more reputable facility. So, after I found out how much she was paying, we moved what was salvageable from the rodent incident into my 30x40 shop for free. ... Read more

So when this was keylock storage, we didn't have to much issues. However, they have merged with store local and now everything is a mess. Autopay works then doesn't. Pay is all messed up. We paid for August, but then get a charge for 1 day(Aug 31) for some random reason. We were told due to promotion we would get a month free, which should have been August, but due to the merge it didn't happen, so was told would get Sept free(less $9 protection plan), ok...but they charged $6 for Aug 31(which was already pd for) and charged the $9 for Sept. So confusing and no help from anyone. Also, autopay randomly stopped and all we got was threatening emails to pay in full all labor day weekend that we better pay in full or get hit with a fee or lose unit. It's been a mess since store local took over. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Storage Star - 3735 North Fruitland Lane has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Storage Star - 3735 North Fruitland Lane can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 150 to 348 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Storage Star - 3735 North Fruitland Lane come at a variety of prices, starting from $59 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $175 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
