What customers are saying

3.6/5 - 8 Reviews

Read some helpful reviews of A-D Storage at 4274 North Yellowstone Hwy, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I’ve been a customer here for almost one year. I would not recommend it. The ground is soft in most places and if you drop a trailer it might sink the landing gear. My trailer almost tipped over sideways once. It’s basically just gravel over bare ground. Property maintenance is a joke. They keep the driveway and the front yard more or less drivable. I can’t speak to the rear (south) lot as I never go back there. The side (east) lot is completely neglected: I haven’t seen any indication that it has been plowed since December; snow is 6-12” deep; the ice under the snow is 2-6” deep. I park my semi truck and/or trailer here. I’ve gotten stuck two out of the last three times I’ve been in the yard (once New Years night from 2030-2230 hours. Then I had to go back New Year’s Day for another 2 hours. Then 2 hours more the day after that to dig out a traction pad). I’ve shoveled the snow, and pickaxed the ice, to dig that 8 foot x 8 foot traction pad. So, I know exactly how deep the ice and snow is on the northern perimeter. I’ve seen other people get stuck in the yard as well. For perspective: I drive western regional; 135,000 plus miles annually; 2-4 mountain ranges a day. I’ve gotten stuck in snow/ice twice in the last decade. Both times in this yard and in the last month?! Security is a joke too. The gate malfunctions or gets jammed open because of the lack of maintenance and snow management. The property management waits days to respond to this, then usually does nothing. So, it is not a secured facility. Thefts have been occurring in the area recently. I rented the space for a place to park my truck when I’m in town. The storage space was rented to me for that purpose. Full disclosure was made and received. Now, I’m being evicted because of the fact that I’m parking a big truck there (not the stated reason, but the logical/contextual reason). The stated reasons: owner feels…; trailer sticking out; snow plow can’t get around your vehicle; redefining the spaces; your vehicle is a liability; you might back into someone else’s vehicles. The reality: feelings are not a reason; there’s plenty of space back there for a snow plow; other vehicles are sticking out; the snow plow doesn’t go into the east lot; my large vehicle occupancy is less than 25% of the time; move the goal post, but honor your customer obligations; my vehicle, my personal/professional/legal/financial obligation [full stop]. This business is exercising ownership privileges without assuming ownership responsibilities. Furthermore, after creating untenable circumstances for its customers, it is attempting to project those responsibilities onto the customer. Unconscionable. I was evicted with less than one week’s notice and in a very casual and unprofessional way. Fair warning has been given. Response to owner: I did not receive one single warning. My first communication on the matter was an eviction notice with one week notice. Open communications, really? I rented the spot for a semi-trailer. I communicated that fact when inquiring about a parking spot. I communicated, then I paid a year of rent. Then you evict me peremptorily? Yes, you plow a spot for people to remove their vehicles. After you thusly evict them. At least now you do, after I made a point of not being able to remove my vehicle, for 6 days, to obey the eviction notice. No, you do not get credit for plowing a removal path under these dubious conditions. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that A-D Storage - 4274 North Yellowstone Hwy has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by A-D Storage - 4274 North Yellowstone Hwy can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 150 to 562 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by A-D Storage - 4274 North Yellowstone Hwy come at a variety of prices, starting from $40 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $150 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
