My husband called family storage to see what units they have available, the lady said the owner was out of town and to call back next week, he said he really needed a unit by next Saturday she told him that's too bad and hung up. Unfortunately that was enough for us to go somewhere else. ... Read more

I highly recommend Family Storage! This is a great storage facility and by far the best in the area. I stored some items that I care about for two years at this facility. I was extremely pleased when I retrieved my items they were as clean and in the same condition as if I put them in storage yesterday instead of two years ago! The facility is modern, spotless and well designed with a drainage system built to protect against storm runoff which is a problem in our area. The business is family owned and operated. The rates are reasonable. The owners are good people and a pleasure to do business with. If you care about the things you are storing, I strongly suggest you check them out before settling for one of the other facilities in the area. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
