After selling our home, we rented a climate controlled storage unit from Central Storage at 12526 Hooper Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70818.  We had the unit from mid October 2015 until mid February 2016 at a rate of $180 a month. When we arrived with the movers to pick up, we found that the unit had leaked and ruined much of our furniture, antiques and personal belongings. We contacted the manager to show her the damages.  A few days later, she called to inform us that after speaking with the owners they would give us $200 for our trouble.  I requested that the owners call me, but the manager said they would not do that. I then asked her for the owners number and was told she was not allowed to give it out. We turned down the $200, as it was nothing more than an insult.  In my opinion, they should have offered a full refund since we paid for a climate controlled service which we did not receive.
