March 2021- incident (discovery date) I wasn't going to post, but this needs to be shared. I had two units and was looking to consolidate into 1 large unit. Cindy informed me that a lrg unit was available and I agreed to move. I went to move my things only to "UNLOCK" my units and find empty wardrobe boxes, and numerous additional missing possessions. Still puzzled on how someone robbed me, when I have both keys in my possession. Yes, I purchased the lock set from A Storage Inn, and yes I did a POLICE REPORT. A surveillance crew was onsite installing cameras at the time I was doing my police report. I was told prior to this there weren't any cameras. Cindy has been nothing less than professional and very helpful. I had the insurance offered but nonetheless, they refuse to pay because there were no signs of damage or forced entry. I'm not sure how many times this has happened to tenants before. This information should have been shared with existing tenants when it happened to me. I see in the reviews that someone else experienced a similiar situation as well a fews months prior. I have several acquaintances, who have storage facilities here, and none of which has been informed that theft of this nature has occured on the premises. "HOW COULD THIS THEFT HAVE OCCURED?" ... Had been renting a unit here for almost a year. Called Cindy about 2-3 weeks ago letting her know that January would be my last month renting. Closed on our home today only to go to the storage and discover that it was nearly empty! 4 TVs, washer and dryer, tons of clothes and shoes, etc. First thing Cindy addressed was that I didn’t insure it so there was nothing that could be done. No cameras on premises but an on site manager. Sounds suspicious to me! Kept bringing up the fact that someone must’ve gotten a key but how on earth would they have known what unit it was??? I would never recommend this place. Definitely seems like an inside job and they target the units without insurance before they leave. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

The facility at 702 West Highway 30 offers 24/7 access, allowing you to visit your unit at your convenience.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At A Storage Inn - 702 West Highway 30, available security amenities may include Onsite Manager, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 702 West Highway 30 for specific restrictions and recommendations.
