Just a disaster of an organization. I made a reservation and received confirmation of the price. Told that the reservation was good for a week. When I logged in to try to pay the price was almost doubled. Tried multiple times to get someone on the phone and being told that someone would call me back. That didn't happen. When I finally got through to someone, they said that I'd signed up to a "flash sale" that only lasted for a few days--even though the email confirmation said nothing about that. I complained about this, and they said that they would mark my complaint for "escalation" and that someone would contact me within 48 hours. When I said, but I'm approaching my move in date and needed it resolved earlier, they said that there was nothing they could do. At no point in this process did anyone at Pioneer Valley Storage take any responsibility for what they'd done, nor did they assure me that they would work to solve my problem. Do yourself a huge favor, and rent storage space somewhere else! As a follow-up, the manager did eventually contact me and I explained my problems and why I had decided to go with another self-storage company. She could not have been less interested. ... Read more

No. The price is double of Gigi’s for much much less. The light in our unit is broken. There is no handle on the door it is rusty and hard to open. Upon arrival, we had to sweep rocks out of our unit. The driveway, if you want to call it that is horrendous. Pot hole city, made only of gravel. Even with a truck, good luck to you. As soon as I leave, I drive really slow or rocks fly up and hit my truck that got stuck in my AT’s! Literally +$300 a month for crap unit, crap driveway, and being ripped off basically. I EMAILED THEM AND A WEEK HAS GONE BY AND NO RESPONSE ... Read more

Earlier this week, I needed to find a storage container for a motor vehicle. They were able to give me a suitable space for a very reasonable price. Sadly, the space was big enough, but there wasn't enough area to maneuver the car to go in through the door. They immediately found me a better spot at another one of their locations and switched me over. This was all done with no additional price to me. I'm very happy and impressed with their operation. ... Read more

Lisa Hawker made the whole process extremely easy!! Left a voicemail inquiring about availability and pricing -- she was quick to respond. All the leasing documents were handled online and payments were made through their automated phone system. When my son and I arrived to move his belongings into his storage unit it was very clean. Very happy with the service we received. Highly recommend. ... Read more

Having been loyal patrons of Stadium Storage, now under Pioneer Valley Storage, for quite a few years, we've seen some changes, not all of them for the better. While the facility was generally well-kept in the past, recent transitions have come with notable rent hikes and new insurance requirements for each unit, even billing an additional $15 if you don't provide your own coverage. Unfortunately, the upkeep seems to have taken a hit since the changeover. The entry roads are riddled with potholes that give our vehicles quite the shake-up, which isn't ideal, especially when transporting delicate cargo. On the bright side, they certainly don't let tardy payments slide, as evidenced by the abundance of those unmistakable red double locks. It's clear they're diligent about their collections. While we appreciate the efforts to maintain security and accountability, it would be great to see some attention diverted to improving the overall condition of the facility for the benefit of all tenants. ... I would not recommend to anyone I know!!! I recently had the displeasure of dealing with Pioneer Storage Company, and I must say, it was a nightmarish experience from start to finish. The most miserable part of my experience was the company charged me for an additional month without my approval. There was no warning, no notification, just a blatant disregard for my consent. When I reached out to address this issue, all I received was a receipt, as if my hard-earned money meant nothing to them. I have reached out for weeks afterwards and received no response. The customer service team is rude and unhelpful. It's almost impressive how consistently unpleasant they were. Trying to get any sort of assistance or information from them felt like talking to a brick wall. On top of this, I would say the quality of the storage room was poorly maintained, dirty, and had a distinct musty odor of mildew. It is also not gated or secure, except for the lock you buy for the door. I would not say that it was worth the price especially with the poor customer service and treatment you receive. I would definitely look somewhere else. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Pioneer Valley Storage - 333 Rocky Hill Road has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Pioneer Valley Storage - 333 Rocky Hill Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 400 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Pioneer Valley Storage - 333 Rocky Hill Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $44 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $249 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
