HUGE place with tons of storage to rent. I have a climate control unit plus a drive up and all the climate control is available 24/7 now with key codes. The GM Brian(I think is his name) in the office told me all buildings will be 24/7 key code accessible soon. highly recommended ... Read more

Love working with the owner of this place. Don't know when the management changed but I didn't know anyone besides the current guy (Brian I think) and he's always been incredibly friendly & helpful. He got me a different kind of lock for my space since I couldn't figure out how to use the existing one and the place had spaces available when I needed them and every other place was full up when I had to move. ... I generally don’t write negative reviews but the people who run this place are a special kind of incompetent. I rented a unit from them because I was impressed with the price but ended up having several problems with the management. Originally I rented the unit thinking I’d only need it for one month. I figured that they would call me to set up auto pay and eventually they did. I paid the outstanding balance and gave the property manager my debit card number so that I wouldn’t have to stress over it, and I updated my address to where I live now. Finally the time comes to clear it out so I rent a U-Haul and drive back to Massachusetts, only to find that they changed the lock on my unit. I called the business number in tears but it was answered by their after hours service who told me that the property owners aren’t there on Sunday so there was basically nothing I could do despite having been told that my unit was paid up and on a monthly withdrawal schedule. I ended up being able to get some things out because as it turns out the outdoor units are not very secure, but I couldn’t get everything out in one trip so I left some items that weren’t essential. Fast forward to today, when I receive a letter forwarded from my former address claiming that I owe them several months’ rent, a damage fee, and a trash removal fee because they *cleared out my unit* Their letter also accused me of “breaking into the unit knowing that you owe us money and just left trash” like I would call their answering service and complain about being wrongfully locked out of my unit if I was trying to get away undetected and thought I owed they money. The owner is a complete moron who can’t even keep his billing straight but will always have a defensive attitude when you call attention to it. God only knows what they threw out of my unit but the property owner is what truly belongs in the garbage. ... Read more

I don't usually write google reviews but feel compelled to warn people about this place. Here's why 1) the WORST thing is that they had moths that destroyed a lot of my things. I told the manager this, and showed him the tiny holes all over my clothes and moth remnants on my clothes. He immediately got defensive and said they wouldn't pay for anything (I hadn't even asked them to) and made no clear commitment to treat the pest problem to get rid of the moths (just some mention that they'd have to look in to it which, considering the rest of the experiences I had with them, was not comforting.) The manager is rude, defensive, and makes a lot of mistakes. 2) I moved across country and called ahead to reserve a unit. I told them my arrival date (Monday, January 16), and when I got there on said date they said they gave the unit away, and why didn't I come on Friday? They didn't have any units left in the size I needed so I had to squeeze all of my stuff in to a smaller unit where it barely fit. They didn't apologize or seem to care that I had just driven across the country with a UHAUL and made a reservation that they did not honor 3) They were rude to me consistently. On one occasion, they had locked the door to the building where m unite was when I came by to get some things, and when I called to tell them it was locked, instead of coming to fix it, the guy said "it's not locked. we don't lock the door during the day." I got him to come to the building, and he stood by his truck and continued to argue with me that the door was indeed not locked-- without going to the door to check. When I pulled on the door with all of my weight in front of him and didn't open, he finally believed me and unlocked the door and then muttered something about how some one else must have locked it because they never lock the door during that time. He could have just opened it instead of arguing with me. 4) When I was moving things in, he kept hovering and telling us how and where to move things. He wasn't helping us, and he wasn't hired to help us, he just came and said oh you should put that thing there or make little comments that were unnecessary and none of his business. 5) When I asked to speak to someone above this person whose behavior I have detailed, both he and the front desk person said that they don't do that and if I had issues I could talk tot he manager, who is the person whose behavior I have written about here. Basically, I could talk to the very rude person about the mistakes he was making and the way he talked to me, but I couldn't talk to any one else. The only good thing I can say about them is that they gave me my deposit back, but I've since spent much more than that amount trying to control the moth issue that they caused. This please is awful-- I wouldn't recommend it to any one. ... Read more

Really bad service and attitude with this new management! They don’t post accurate hours of operations. On Saturday they are supposed to close at 5:45 and the woman decided that new hours would be til 2. Therefore, we wasted our trip me and money on a Uhaul. Additionally, we found both her phone and in person etiquette to be crass. There are better storage options in Northampton and we will be taking our business elsewhere! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

The facility at 94 Industrial Drive is accessible during regular access hours, typically Mon-Fri: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sat: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Office hours and gate access times may differ, so it’s a good idea to check the facility’s posted schedule before your visit.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Spaces For Rent - 94 Industrial Drive, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Onsite Manager, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
