Kimberly went above and beyond to assist me. She was absolutely phenomenal very professional very kind. She gave me all the detailed information. She was a joy to work with. This is supposed to be a climate controlled facility, but I went to this facility yesterday to help my step father clean out his unit and it was colder inside the facility than it was outside (and it was in the 40s outside). No notices were posted to give any indication that there were/are issues with the heating system. It was the most miserable experience I've had at a "climate controlled" storage facility. We couldn't even finish what we went there to do because it was so cold. ... Read more

I’ve never used Public Storage before, and I was blown away! The two staff members there were super helpful and friendly. They took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. They were really professional and nice, which made a big difference. I also really like the security measures they have. The place feels safe and well-managed, which gave me peace of mind when I was storing my stuff. And the mobile app is really convenient and easy to use. I could access my unit and manage everything from my phone, which was a breeze. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a reliable, secure, and friendly storage service. Thanks again to the amazing staff for making my first experience so great! ... Read more

To further highlight the company’s character, the individual tasked with responding to reviews will focus exclusively on the positive feedback, demonstrating a clear priority for uplifting comments while disregarding those expressing dissatisfaction.SMH Today, February 2nd, I wanted to share my experience with the Public Storage in Columbia, Maryland, regarding the ongoing elevator issue. Unfortunately, the elevator has been out of service for the second consecutive day, which has made it challenging for tenants on the second floor and above to access their units. I understand that maintenance issues can arise, but it would be helpful if there were alternative options available for accessing our units during such situations. The front desk mentioned that the stairway access is restricted due to concerns about setting off an emergency alarm, which adds to the frustration. Many tenants have important items stored that they may need access to regularly, such as work clothes or essential documents. While I appreciate that the company has policies in place regarding late fees, which can be enforced quite quickly, it would be great to see a more tenant-centered approach when it comes to service outages. Offering a temporary alternative for accessing our units would demonstrate a commitment to customer care. ... Read more

My experience here was great. Kimberly was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She greeted us with a very welcoming smile and walked us through the process of getting our unit and downloading the app to make it easier for us to get in and out. If I ever need another storage unit I will definitely be coming back here ... Read more

Poor lighting, difficult access. There’s no lights leading up to the gate. There’s only one functional exterior light on the building (Building “B”). Literally have myself and seen plenty others unload in near darkness (phone camera makes it appear lighter than it is). It’s a hazard. To get into the first floor there is a swinging door with no automatic open (like a disability button) that makes it very difficult for a single person to navigate into the facility, and would be near impossible for someone with significant disabilities. Security it’s important but be prepared to enter your code repeatedly ad nauseam. I guess I need to try the app to see if that makes it easier. Honestly, just an oddly very poorly thought out storage facility. ... Read more

Update: I’ve spoken to the District Manager. Accommodations have been made. Ironically, Kim called as well wanting to speak to make things right as well. By then, I had already spoken to the District Manager. And also wondered, why didn’t you and your team do something about the situation the day of? Currently renting 2 units. Renting the first unit wasn’t bad. Renting the second unit was a major issue. I wanted to see the space in person to make sure it could accommodate all of my items since I was in the middle of downsizing and was told no. I had to do everything online. I took the risk and rented a space online like Kim said. The day of the move into the second unit which also was in the second building was very difficult to get into because concrete was being poured down at the entrance. No apologies, no accommodation. Just an oh well. Luckily my movers were understanding. Now a month later the price of the unit is going up. I’d planned on clearing out both units by the end of the calendar year. That timeframe has definitely changed. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage Phase II - 9265 Berger Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Elevators, First Floor Access and Multi-Level Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage Phase II - 9265 Berger Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 250 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage Phase II - 9265 Berger Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $21 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $308 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
